Creating Videos

Hey everyone,

For some time now, I’ve been meaning to create a video to submit to YouTube. Basically, I would like to edit the Ratatouille trailer and “redub” it so that the voices of the characters are replaced by me and my sister’s voice(s). An example of what I am describing can be seen/heard here:

Unfortunately, I am rather lost in this field and have no idea how to do something like this. I have Windows Movie Maker, but it won’t let me import the clips that I desire. I also have QuickTime, but not QuickTime Pro. Is there any particular program that I need to purchase/install into my computer so as to create a video such as that seen above?

Any help at all would be much appreciated. Thanks.

– Mitch

I think you’ll need a microphone.

How I put my voice in is, I record visual with my digital camera and put it into the audio part of windows movie maker. But that’s just how I do it. ^^

FONY - Mmm – yeah, that’s what I thought. I’m pretty sure I’ve got a microphone, and I think I can import audio from my cell phone.

However, what I really want to know is how to import clips into Windows Movie Maker or the like so that I can edit them. If anyone can give me a step-by-step analysis of the process, that would really help.

Thanks for your advice though, FONY.

Okay, well, I’m not sure of how to save the trailer onto your computer. I don’t know if you have already. And I don’t know how to do that if you didn’t. But to import anything, you just click ‘File’ and go down to ‘Import into Collections’.

(Heheh) Well, I can try Mitch. So…your saying you want to find a way to import the clips? What format are these “clips” in?

Or are you having a different trouble.
