this was my second time seeing WALL-E and the crowd wasn’t as good. Some loud kids, but you can expect that from 4-year olds. Not much laughing. There was one guy that had one of those obnoxious laughs, however, it was kind of scary! Oh well.
ive seen it 4 times, and each time has been somewhat different
the first had a lot of kids, and they were pretty loud…at least they enjoyed it
the rest were pretty similar in that less kids, but the laughs were still there
everyone liked presto everytime
what really got me mad was everyone i saw it with didnt want to watch the credits, so when i finally convinced my brother to go, i bought a cheap pair of plastic handcuffs and cuffed him to me until they were over. i also threatened him with the all too terrorizing reality of him having to pay me $2.00 if he were to break it off…hehehe he was too cheap and watched them
now he thanks me for forcing him to go and watch the movie and says it changed his life
as for me, it gets better every time i see it
THATS AWESOME! Lol.
Luckily, the group I go with to movies like staying for the credits. Good music
I had a nice crowd this time. Lots of laughs at good times. But… this one guy seemed to laugh at some of the strangest times. I mean, [spoil]when WALL-E lost his memory man. What is funny about that? O.o[/spoil]
I just teared up at that. Dunno why that would be funny…
maybe hes special anyways you teared up?
Wow! threatening! hahaha!!
Yep teared up. I’m a guy and happy to say that. Means I have feelings
I’m back!!!
Can’t believe you guys had no one clap at your screens.
I can’t believe you guys had people clapping at your screens. It just seems so strange.
I personally find it annoying when people clap at movies, no matter how good it was. The filmmakers aren’t there, who are you clapping at? The projectionist?
B-B-But I love it when people clap at the end of a film…! D; I helped start an applause when I went to see TDK, in fact. It’s just showing appreciation for a movie, despite whether or not the filmmakers are there. It’s also a nice note to walk out of the theater on, because you know everyone had a good time.
Maybe it’s because I’m an aspiring filmmaker, I’d love for people to clap for my movies, whether I was there or not. ^^;
Oh yeah, crowd report! I went to see WALL*E a second time a few weeks ago. I think the audience really liked it, they were perfectly silent and enthralled through the whole film.
…Yeah, I was TOTALLY the only person in there. xD Completely alone. It was kinda fun, though, if not a bit odd. Then two teenage guys came in about halfway, so I didn’t feel so lonely anymore. They seemed to like it, though.
Absolutely, clapping at the end of a film not only helps everyone acknowledge that they agree what they saw was good, but it’s also respectful whether the people that made it are there or not.
just got back from seeing WALL-E the third time around, and finally, people clapped! I didn’t have to start it either! Guess the third time’s the charm, eh?
Just got back from seeing Wall-E for the 4th time today (this time with relatives, some of whom had seen it before, others hadn’t). Saw it at the same theatre complex I saw it the other 3 times, but by now instead of playing on 3-4 screens, it was only playing on one. However maybe because of this, the theatre was pretty full! I’d say over 3/4ths full. Sunday early afternoon showing. Audience was also very receptive (lots of kids and parents, kids not seeming bored, but saying “look, there’s Wall-E!” and “mom, what does that mean?” etc. Lots of laughs and audience reaction too. It seemed like a lot of the audience hadn’t seen it yet. Anyway, it’s been out a while now, but still entertaining lots of people. In a cinema with 20 screens, I didn’t think there’d be many people left watching Wall-E at this point in the run, but the theatre was pretty packed.
I tried to see WALL-E today for the third time, but it was already sold out when I arrived at the cinema! There was a long queue going all the way out of the door, and although I was a good five minutes early, there wasn’t a single ticket left.
I know it’s the summer holidays, but for a film to be sold out at an early afternoon showing in the middle of the week, even though it’s been released for a good few weeks now, is pretty extreme. I might have to like pre-book or something.
the second time I watched it the cinema was virtually empty. It was a 6pm midweek showing.
1st time (Aintitcool News sneak preview): Full house-evening.
2nd time (first Friday it came out): Sold out house-evening show.
3rd time (a week later in La Jolla): 10-15 people-afternoon matinee before dinner.
4th time (yesterday): 6:45 showing, 8 people in theater.
Just got back from a 2:20 show. I was the only one there. Like my own private showing!
I saw a five to two showing this afternoon, after work, and to my surprise, the cinema was nearly full! I got there about half an hour early, and yet there were already people sitting in the cinema!
Most of the audience this time were kids, which makes sense due to the timing, but a fair amount of them seemed to have seen the film before- countless times I heard comments such as, ‘oh, I remember this bit!’ and ‘this is the bit where…’ and so on.
Here was me, thinking I’d be all on my lonesome with the whole cinema screen to myself, when I actually ended up having people sit either side of me! I hate it when that happens.
But the audience was generally very responsive, the kids laughing at the ‘kiddy’ jokes, and the adults chuckling along too.
