Cuddle n' Glow Eve Plush review (A rare and expensive Eve!)

I recently saved up enough money to buy the ultra-rare Eve plush EVERYONE loves! The cuddle n’ glow Eve plush!
Here’s the lowdown:
Official name: Cuddle n’ Glow EVE plush
Where I bought it from: Toys r us, Canberra, Australia.
How much?: $49.99 in Australian dollars. :astonished:
Yeah. It was darn expensive. But it’s also incredibly rare, I’ve only seen one pic on the merchandise post.

Lets get to the best part then!
Well, I’ve been dying to buy it for WEEKS and finally got it!
I came home and immediately got my camera and took photos from every angle. Here’s the box:

I’m sorry for the horrible quality. My camera’s crap.
She has such a pretty face. :sunglasses:

Keep in mind this Eve is a giant, glowing talking version of the very small one seen seen here:

But a lot bigger.

ESCAPE TEH BOX!!! ;D

I took her out, and examined the work to be done. Little effort. Around 6 twist cables.
Then, I pressed the button on her chest. Her eyes lit up and she said ‘eeevvveeee’ loudly followed by that pretty noise she makes that isn’t quite a giggle. You press it again and she says ‘Wall-e’ and giggles. Then you press it and there’s a funny ‘ah!’ noise and what I presume to be a flying noise. Then more noises: More pretty ‘eee ooo OOO ooh’ noises and she says directive, then finishes off with ‘Oooh Plant!’. It’s quite loud and her eyes fade and flash depending on what she’s saying. ;D

Her arms also rotate 360 and head almost 360.

She runs on 3 AA batteries and is VERY soft, and very smooth. She’s a heap of fun to have around, and I love her heaps!
I’ll also be posting this on Wall-E forum, So dont hate me. I’m spreading the love of the Eve plush.

I have a full gallery of different angles and pics of her rotating arms and head.

BONUS! My Eve and Wall-E together. Aww. :-*

Shame on you Wall-E. Straight to the point huh?

So cute but so expensive! :astonished: I’m glad I’ve become pretty much immune to buying new plushies - future children will be spoiled enough with the amount I have!

I have to say I have a HUGE weakness to plushies. My favourite movie, with my favourite character, and it glows and talks (aswell as having that adorable giggle). I couldn’t resist!

I think I’ll take back what I said - I still have a big weakness to plushies. I’m going through my collection now and am finding it hard to part with a lot of them.

It’s good that you got it at that price though - I would think that the price could only go up. It definitely looks like a plush I’d love to have had as a kid (and would want now but can’t afford it, money-wise and space-wise  )

Haha! Yeah, I can’t bear to get rid of any of mine, and some of them have definitely gone up in value, like a original Woody Doll (identical to the reall woody), 2 matching 101 Dalmations plushes (I got the other matching one at a fete, I almost died when I saw it, they were from Disney stores when they were still in australia) and a big stitch.
I reckon 'cause Eve is so rare she HAS to go up in value.

I just got back from seeing WALL•E again at the cinemas, and I also went to Toys R Us to look for a birthday present, but also took the opportunity to check out the WALL•E merch, too. And much to my surprise, they had a Cuddle ‘n’ Glow EVE, of which you’ve created a thread for! Ain’t it great? Never thought they would order it in here… Not sure whether to buy it at $50 or wait to see if it comes on special in the next TRU catalogue.

Thanks for the review and pictures! Ha-ha! Where did you buy that big WALL•E plush from? I agree, it’s great to have a nice soft EVE whose eyes glow when you hug her, but she also says “directive?,” if I remember correctly, which is awesome because I don’t think any of the other talking EVEs say that… And if TRU Australia ever ordered in a remote control EVE, I’d buy one so fast!

I love plushies, too, because it’s great to see a character in a 3D, soft form. I always thought WALL•E plushes would be my weakness but so far I have two different EVE plushes, and I’m thinking about getting the “cuddle” one, too. Must be EVE’s simple shape that translates well into a plush design, not to mention she’s so cute. Not sure if yours will go up in value, since you’ve taken her out of the box, but you never know.

Also, welcome to Pixar Planet, Spark! It’s always good to have enthusiastic Pixar fans, not to mention another fellow Aussie Pixar fan. =)

P.S. Anyone notice that the EVE plush buddy on the Amazon page is priced at US$115?

Hi fellow Aussie Pixar fan!
I almost died when I saw that Eve… XD
I had to buy it. It probably will go on special eventually but I didn’t want it to sell out, 'cause the interaction Eve had (at my toys r us) sold out too, aswell as a heap of other things.
I have to say I really like eve. I’ve been taking it everywhere all day.
The Wall-E? It’s a present from a friend, who got it from a claw machine. Needless to say I was overjoyed when I found out it was the same size.
It may go up, but I did keep the box and have even kept the cables that held it in the box. But I wouldn’t sell her, ever!

That little Eve on Amazon is WAY overpriced! I could buy it for AU $!5!

Oh, wow! Now, that’s a plushie! EVE looks absolutely adorable, and she glows too! Eeep, I want it!

She might’ve been expensive, but it looks like she was well worth it. Nice buy, Spark, and thanks for showing us those photos. I’ve been looking around for some good WALL-E merchandise for ages, but as of yet, I haven’t seen anything in the shops that’s of good enough quality to keep for a long time, so I’m pleased you managed to find something. Also, there really ought to be more M-O merchandise.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH I WANT!!! 8D

I love the title, “Cuddle n’ Glow”. Sounds adorable. I may be a dude, but I wouldn’t mind owning one, would make a great pillow, heheh. :sunglasses:
No, but really, that’s cool. Shame about the steep price, consider yourself lucky Spark. I didn’t find any Eve merchandise on my last shopping jaunt on my birthday. Maybe I should have a look at the Aussie version of Toys R Us. I used to love going to that toy chain when I was a kid in M’sia, so much so that my parents stopped taking me there, laugh out loud. Been ages since I went to one.

That’s pretty late for your b’day gift, unless you were shopping for another person?

The Cuddle ‘n’ Glow EVE reminds me of those glowing worm toys, where the body was soft but the head was made out of plastic and its head glowed when you pressed its tummy. The idea was to give it to kids who were scared of the dark, he he. FYI, they also sell the transforming WALL•E plush and EVE plush (pretty much the same size and design at the Cuddle ‘n’ Glow EVE) except it’s in the plush toys section of the store, not in the figurine section.

thedriveintheatre - I was shopping for someone else. =) And you haven’t been to Toys R Us in Australia yet? You need to get in there. They used to have a whole section dedicated to WALL•E, but most of it has been sold, but still, you will probably find some things that aren’t sold at other stores.

lizardgirl - Yeah, I know. Where’s the M-O love?

Eve makes a GREAT pillow. Like my Wall-E, she’s just so… pillowy.
More M-O merchandise would be great. I reckon more cuddle n’ glow things, like the cuddle n’ glow M-O; it has quite a ring to it.

A Cuddle ‘n’ Speak Captain would be better, though, don’t you reckon?

I would buy a Tickle me M•O! That laugh he does when [spoil]he realises he can move outside the lines[/spoil] is cute!
