Current Mood

Yeah, I agree it is kind of dead. But I personally stay mad about these things for a while. I don’t mean to, but…well, you know what I mean.

I’m trying to cool down…it just isn’t working. I’m going to bed, I suppose. G’night!

Mood: Annoyed and worried

Reason: I have this project due this Wednesday for one of my classes, and the instructions on the handout sheet are so confusing. I feel really stupid for not asking my professor for help on it, and now I don’t know how I’m ever going to understand it and finish it on time for Wednesday. :frowning:

Thanks, Ami! And as the others have said, no-one’s avoiding you, it’s just down to bad timing and lots of people having schoolwork and other commitments at the moment.

Eep, hope you get your project sorted out, Danachii! Do you have any friends doing the same project that you could ask for help from?

mo: Ouchie!

lizardgirl: It’s really great reading about your experiences in your uni. Ugh, I hate those horrid days when I lived in a hostel, and when you had to use a keycard four-five times just to exit the building. I hate being locked out, and my stupid hostel actually charges $10 for unlocking after the second occassion! Cheap buggers.

Ami: Ugh, don’t you just hate a ‘slow news week’? And I thought with the release of LOTG and HTTYD on DVD, things would get interesting!

little_chef: Can’t wait for the video!!!

Danachii: Tell me about it. :unamused: I have an assignment due tomorrow and Thursday, and I just finished one today, and all their instructions were as vague as $%^&*@#. When I get an assignment, I want the terms and marking criteria spelled out to me. What is the format, what should I cover, what is the font size, etc. I hate flying blind, and then the teacher tells me after the assignment that “Oh, the thesis line is a bit weak. And you didn’t cover the topic in detail.” I can’t read your brain, Einstein… sometimes I wish I was back in high school when everything was spelled out to you. Hopefully when I go to work, the T&C would be clear (and the ironic thing is, I hate bureaucracy when I’m a customer, but I want it if I was the employee).

Current Mood: Semi-happy
So I’ve finished rough draft for an assignment due tomorrow, and I’ll probably polish it in the morning. Haven’t started on my final assignment this week, but shouldn’t be very difficult.

I’m just really dying to get some fanwork done. But procrastinating habits die hard. Sorry if I sound like I’m whining.

Optimistic right now and a tad annoyed (both for completley different reasons) I’ve been trying to get a part time job or even some volunteer work as of late but to no avail whatsoever. I may however be about to have a major break through though. ^^

Mood: Kinda stressed
Well, I apparently didn’t do too good in a test… I’m awaiting my teacher to come and tell me what my mistakes were.

Mood: Excited

Reason: I finally got my coloring tutorial finished and am now in the process of uploading it to YouTube. I love that iMovie can directly upload to YouTube and I don’t have to do a thing except type in descriptions and stuff.

Mood: Stressed

Reason: college, major, university, future, transfering, Hawai’i, California, academics, classes, importance, money, tuition

Life!

Yes! I went on Facebook and messaged one of my classmates about it (also asking her to show me her design just so I can get a better grasp of it), and I got it all resolved. I understand the directions much better now. Thanks for showing concern, lizardgirl!

YES. Exactly. I agree so much. >.< I’ve had that happen to me a couple of times in highschool too.

And good luck on your assignment, thedriveintheatre! I know how annoying and frustrating it is trying to get homework done during the last few days before it’s due, and I totally understand the bit about fanworks. I also really want to continue working on my Chibi Disney Princess fanarts, but alas, schoolwork just keeps piling up on my desk one after another. sighs :\

Mood: Shocked!

Reason: My bus was in an accident!

A car merged into our lane right in front of the bus, and the horn was honked loud and everyone screamed.

So the bus stopped on the side of the road, and the guy in the car stopped. The police came and so did the people from the Public Transportation Headquarters. We were given witness cards to fill out optionally, and we weren’t allowed to leave the bus. We were sitting there for 45 minutes.

They called out another bus to pick us up, and when we exited the first bus, the police men asked us for our name, address, phone number, and birthday. So yeah, it was exciting. But they so overreacted, no one got hurt.

That’s exactly how I felt a few months ago, ellie-jessie-eve. It’ll all be worth it!

And oh my goodness about the bus accident! That must’ve been pretty scary! I’m very relieved to hear that no-one got hurt.

No worries, Danachii, you’re welcome.

Just had my first lecture and one particular part caught my attention- they were saying that in order to pass one of the modules, we have to participate in a certain number of psychology experiments. I can’t wait to be a guinea pig!

Danachii - I know… it’s so horrible. I really want to build up the fanwork in time for the Sydney LOTG release, but I’ve got a stupid assignment due on the same day I haven’t even started. Finishing it’s not a problem, just that I worry it won’t be good enough.

ellie-jessie-eve: Oh dear, thank Thor Almighty nobody got hurt. :frowning: It must’ve been pretty interesting to be in such an event, albeit a very scary one!

I swear, I’ve never seen an accident happen ‘live’ before I came to Sydney (I always saw the aftermath with the wrecked vehicles, but no bodies or anything), but I saw my first a month of two ago where a car swerved to avoid a cyclist and mounted the central divider, but the cyclist fell down anyway! Then the car just drove off without stopping to check if the cyclist was okay (what a jerk), and in turned out there was a fire truck behind them! The nice firemen pulled over and called out to the cyclist (who was dusting himself off) and after receiving confirmation he was fine, they drove away.

And then another time, I was walking to uni, when a bus knocked down a telephone pole no farther than fifty feet away from me! The driver wasn’t hurt, but he must be in a whole lot of trouble! :open_mouth: I guess there’s never a dull moment in this city.

lizardgirl: So LG, tell me about your mother. Wait till you get to Freud, he has some pretty weird theories about anal-retentiveness and repressed desires! I hope the experiments won’t involve hypnosis and flapping your arms like a goose! :stuck_out_tongue:

Current Mood: So I’ve cleared two assignments, but there’s one more bearing down on me. I’ll be so relieved when this week is over… and I’ll finally get to watch That Owl Movie on the big screen!

Mood:Tired Excited
Reason:im getting a Street fighter figure at toys r us today And Tired because i saw a scary show before i went to bed and didn’t get any sleep last night

thedriveintheatre- Thankfully I’m doing a proper degree, and we don’t cover Freud. The emphasis in our psychology department is biological and neuropsychology, so no flapping of arms for me!

Mood: Stressed

Reason: Studying for a Calculus exam. It’s hard to remember everything. I’m even writing down the notes on Windows Journal just to remember my operations and what to do.

Thanks for your concerns about the bus accident! Luckily for me it was more of a joke than a disaster.

Mood: Exhausted

Reason: Today I skipped my drawing class because I had to do my homework for math (which took 2 hours!)

And then I went my first Geology Club meeting. I can’t wait to do some Geology Club field trips.

I’m so happy you’re okay Kenzie! That must’ve been so scary. Thank God everyone was okay

Mood: Tired

Reason: School. Why so much work??

That’s cool  ! It’s always nice catching up with friends that you haven’t seen in a while  .

lizardgirl- Yes, they are <3 ! Hopefully, at best, we’ll have one by this Christmas!

Current Mood: Okay

Reason: Well, I’m good  ! But I’ve gotta catch up on my comic reviews… And, when we went to the SPCA the other day, well, something kinda sad happened. We listened to the lecture and stuff, it was good. I think me and Mom’ll be volunteering when we get the chance. But we almost left with a lab mix  ! He was so cute! He was all black except for the tips of his toes, a pot on his chin, and a upside-down triangle on his chest. And his eyes were half blue half brown. We were actually rushing so we could get him! But by the time we got the money together, and even did some “puppy proofing,” he was gone  . They’d adopted him out. Oh well, probably better off. If we got him, we probably couldn’t have gotten a Siberian, which is what I really want. And he probably went to a better prepared home that can give him a good life. Just gotta be patient. God’ll open the doors somewhere  . but still, broke my heart. I mean, he got all comfortable in my lap and everything. And, what was really funny, while I was holding him, he got the hiccups and I could feel him, like, gulping. I didn’t even know dog got the hiccups! And he gave lots of kisses :-D) . I wish we could’ve taken him home…

Anyway, I’ve also been driving a bit. I’ve still got a long way to go, but I’m gettin’ there  . Soon, I should be able to drive on the regular roads instead of back roads all the time. I’m really enjoying it now that I’m comfortable.

Later,
–Violet~

Violet Parr: Awww puppies! That’s the one bad thing about animal shelters, you always want to bring a friend home, and you can’t!

Evangeline: thanks!

Current Mood: Happy

Yippee… I finished all three assignments this week and handed 'em all up on time! I thought I’d never make it out of the ‘Valley of Assignment Misery’ alive!

Now I’ve got a two week ‘honeymoon’ before another fortnight of deadlines… I hope to make the most of it (both in terms of the assignment preparation and fandom indulgences).

And Rush is on tonight… I can’t wait to tune in to another exciting episode of Sergeant Awesome and his team!

And Guardians has premiered in Sydney today! At last! Now all I have to do is find the time to go see it and convince my mates… hopefully in the largest IMAX theatre… Jeremy Clarkson voice in the world!
