Daylight Savings Time

Quick reminder

to those of our visitors that come from locations that practice daylight savings time. It officially came to an

end tonight and our board doesn’t automatically adjust for it. Therefor, if you turned your clock back an hour

then you need to go into your profile and set it one hour back. In other words if you are in GMT -4 now

(Eastern) then you want to subtract an hour making it GMT -5. If you were in GMT +4 then you would subtracy an

hour to be GMT +3. I also believe there are a few people in the southern hemisphere that are actually starting

daylight savings time tonight (turning the clocks forward). If that’s the case for you then you’ll want to add

an hour, doing the oposite of what’s shown above. =)

No, Dash. I was at GMT +4 and had to move up to +5.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks Dash!

I love daylight savings. Gave me an extra hour to do my homework.

Uhh, no hun - you were at GMT -4 and had to move to

GMT -5, GMT +4 would be somewhere around Turkey. =P

LOL it’s all really confusing.

I feel like a

complete moron, Dash. :~o

Haha – thanks for the information, Dash!

Daylight savings time is great –

my annoying little sister gets to go to bed earlier. :stuck_out_tongue:

Waking up for school is easy too. But it takes me a while for me to get used to.

Talk about it. I woke up this morning

thinking that it was 6:00 AM – which is when I usually hop out of the bed – , although…by then…Daylight

Savings Time had ended, so it was really 5:00 AM.

I was rather happy to get an extra hour’s worth of

sleep.

To whoever invented the concept of daylight savings, thank you so much.

I second that.

That would be one Mr. Benjamin Franklin for those

of you in the US. He figured it would give farmers an extra hour of daylight to do their work and prevent

children from walking to school in the dark.

In Great Brittain however you can thank Mr. Winston Churchill

who implimented daylight savings time to mess up the routine of the German bombers attacking London in World War

II. =)

Well then, thank you Mr. Ben Franklin and Sir Winston

Churchill.

Yeah I dont know, i like getting the extra hour of sleep, but losing that later is no fun…

I like the extra hour to sleep too.

I dont get to join in any of the daylight

savings fun

Stoopid country with no daylight savings…all it gets me is messed up when all my tv

shows start an hour later or earlier (confusing but some of our tv channels come from overseas…whats with

that?)
