Dead Man's Chest on DVD

Actually I thought your manners

were very good, GLP. Now, ‘mean’ would be something like this -

OMG! I hate Pirates of the Carrabean!

Worst movie EVER! It makes me want to PUKE! BLLAAAIGH!!

:stuck_out_tongue:

Okay, yeah, she could’ve been worse.

I’ve yet to see someone with a

good explanation why they hate it … but I won’t wait around for that. Every film has it’s haters, and I’ve

done my share of hating.

Come on guys. Pirates wasn’t all THAT bad. Both movies, (though I loved the

first one better) have their strong, impacting points that are key to a good and successfull movie.

I heard this movies had something like 5 million illegal

copies sold.

If you take 5 million times $15.00 / DVD that’s like $75 million in lost revenue to the

production of the film

^ You mean like, physically sold, not downloaded right?
If it were downloaded, the money is

gonna be made up in the end because most people who download are crazy fans who can’t wait for the release… so

they end up buying the DVD anyway.

I bought the DVD yesterday… and it’s beautiful.
What sucks is

that they sell the one-disc for $14.99 and the two-disc for $24.99. It’s a very big price gap. I bought the

two-disc of course because PotC is like… love. I haven’t actually watched the dvd yet due to lack of time.

Buttt… in art my awesome teacher puts in on while we work. It makes me so happy!

It’s a wonderful

movie, it is very different from the first and lacks er… structure but I still love it. It’s beautifully

decorated and there’s just so much passion in the movie… and I mean care for details and acting.

^^ I mean copied illegally and sold.

There are

stores that just sell burned DVDs. They get shut down by authroities, but then open up a few months

later.

I guess thye make enough money to pay the fines and re-open the store again. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah I thought you were talking about that. Frankly,

I would be embarrassed to own an illegal copy. And half the fun of owning the DVD is to feel like a collector and

having it in perfect condition, you know?

I love this movie.

Alot of people actually

didn’t like it compared to the first one. They found it confusing, but it’s reallynot if you pay attention. It

all makes sense.

[spoil]I’m happy They’re Bringing Barbossa back in the next one.

XD[/spoil]

I absolutely love the first Pirates of the Caribbean

film. I never got a chance to see the second film, since I was busy seeing Cars for the third time. I want to see

the 2-disk version, without buying it. Rental places probably only have one of the two disks.

From what

I’ve heard, Pirates 2 looks like an action-filled film with lots of action and not a lot of heart. Is that

true?

Oh you would be surprised how

much… “heart” is in Pirates 2. Heheh. That can be taken both literally and figuratively interestingly

enough.

There is a ton of action in this one… much sword fighting and such but it doesn’t vary so much

in that direction as the first. Pirates 2 actually has a ton of character development because the characters are

built that way… they all seem to have paths of their lives that are kinda dark and unexplored. There’s a lot

of good vs. evil questioning… a lot of moral tests upon different characters.

This film is a lot darker

than the first, and much more mature. I was watching the special features today and I was shocked with the amount

of commitment behind these few hours of film. It’s amazing and I think it’s well worth it.

This movie is pretty cool! Too bad we don’t know what happened to Jack Sparow [spoil] It seems

like he got ate by the sea monster, and he held his sword and said, “hello beastie”, and he was right

by his mouth, so I think he got eaten, and killed the monster. Or he probably died. Anyway the Black Pearl went

bye, bye, with Jack Sparow still on it because everyone got off and Elizabth chained him to it. Because 'Davy

jone’s pet (the monster) was after him not the crew. so the crew went back the witch, person, that you see in

sometime in the movie (can’t remember when) but she said that they must sail to the ends of the earth in order

to bring him back. They needed a captain and the next thing you know , Barbossa walked down the stairs and said

he was going to help them in their search of how to get Jack back and then there was the end

credits![/spoil] that"s the queston at the end what happened to Jack sparrow?
well, guess

gonna hve to find out in the 3rd one!

Saw this over the weekend…Gotta say, I found it really

enjoyable - I wasn’t expecting much after the so-so reviews and annoying fan-hype. A bit too long, but otherwise

very good.

I watched it in a Circut City

Store. I was tempted to get it but I didn’t have enough money with me.

my parents HATED it.

my dad fell asleep during movie and my mom
who hates violence/adventure movies gave it a thumbs

down.

They didn’t get the piont of it because they hadn’t seen the 1st one.

Well that is just depressing. I wouldn’t even think of

seeing it without watching the first. I had seen the first but it had been such a long time ago that I was even

confused while watching the second. It’s supposed to be seem like the first was meant to have this sequel, so I

would say that it would be near impossible to watch without watching the first.

Igot it as a

surprise for Christmas and I gotta admit Iam really looking foward to the third one . I love the 3-D packaging .

:sunglasses:

I know! The case is

beautiful isn’t it?
