Can you give me any hints as to what this is about? If your not sure, then don’t say anything, but I’m really curious as to what this is…
Dear god, could you make this thread any more tempting?
I showed a pic of the character Chuckles (second link) and the first link contains a still picture showcasing the end of the movie, but giving away any more than that super vague info will spoil it. [/spoil]
I don’t think it was necessary to make this thread, people can read the books if they want to, but this is just gonna tempt innocent people into spoiling themselves.
If you’re really THAT intrigued, the second pic isn’t a huge spoiler. It’s a character we haven’t seen in the promos for whatever reason. He’s not a big spoiler.
Hahaha, I didnt mean it that way! I figured since I accidentally spoiled the movie for myself, those curious might like to know early, but waiting is worlds better. I wish it were 95 again and the only thing we could go by was a commercial or two (I didnt have internet then)
If you guys held out this long, its only a month left.
Alright I have two questions:
- Just wondering, does Chuckles resemble the clown from Red’s Dream at all?
- [spoil]Does the ending you’ve mentioned include any elements from the ‘Movie Surfers’ potential spoiler?[/spoil]
- He looks sort of similar, except he’s shorter and fatter, and his face doesn’t look all lumpy.
- [spoil]The thing he posted doesn’t really involve that, but if you’re worried about that the ending is NOT what you’re expecting fro that alone. There are more surprises and twists, it’s pretty much the perfect ending.[/spoil]
Ahh, Well I wouldn’t mind seeing Chuckles, but I think I’ll do my best to hold out. as it is I’m worried there wont be enough surprises for me.
Totally agreed about missing the days when we had next to nothing to go on. on a similar note I remember when they had a special dedicated to Toy Story 2 before its release. I was so hype for that for a whole week, and got to see a lot of behind the scenes footage, things like the voice actors recording dialogue, recording a cow licking peanut butter off a volunteer’s face for Bullseye, and all sorts of tun stuff.
And still managed to be surprised when I saw the movie. I wish they would do that again. it was like seeing dvd extras before the movie came out.
They also did one for the original toy story, but all I remember from that was footage of them using boards nailed to shoes for animation reference.
They did something like this for Cars too, but I don’t think they’ve done it for a while. I wonder if a TS3 special could be on the way?
I would say that Chuckles isnt really a spoiler, I think the only reason he hasnt been shown, is because hes kind of evil/weird looking, but I personally think he looks pretty badass. I would love a TSC version, hahaha. I didnt feel my gut drop out upon seeing him, like I did when I stumbled upon the ending.
Spoiler Alert!!
[spoil]Bonnie, the girl, is Andy’s cousin![/spoil]
You have been warned. Also I don’t think Chuckles looks anything like Lumpy (the clown from Red’s Dream.) Let’s not forget Red’s Dream was made in 1987 so the animation tactics are 700,000,000 times better.
It completely makes sense now. Andy’s speech about Woody being no ordinary toy is being spoken to Bonnie before he hands Woody off to her, finally, after opening the box of toys for her with Buzz, Rex, Jessie etc in it.
Wow. Why didn’t I realize it before. It all makes sense now. I don’t mind being spoiled, and this just makes me want to see the film more! -Omar
Oh, that’s on the Toy Story Special Edition VHS, it was pretty cool.
I think the closest we’ll ever get to having that for Toy Story 3 is those web updates and Movie Surfers things.
And thanks, Bryko614, I’m now pumped more than ever to see it.
AWESOME!! I didnt know that! I wonder if…[spoil] They know Carl from UP? Because I remember seeing somewhere that Andy had a huge letter from him up on his wall or something. I cant wait to see this movie! After finding out for the first time that Mike swims by at the Finding nemo end credits last night, I had to put it in and see, haha, and there he was! Just imagine the easter eggs that will be in TS3. New character reveals for cars 2, bear and the bow, etc. I’m hoping anyway[/spoil]
I was just wondering about the Lumpy and Chuckles connection because Pixar always has those reference things. I mean, since Lumpy was only in a dream, it would be cool if we saw a real-life version (because of his appearance, it would only make sense that he would be a toy).
[spoil]Bonnie is the daughter of the receptionist at Sunnyside, who is good frend with Andy’s mom because Andy and Molly went to Sunnyside. I’m not sure if they’re cousins.[/spoil]
Pixar movies are the only movies that I know of, that I can read the entire script, know everything about the movie, but still leave the theater amazed. Long live film!!!
Well said. It perfectly fills the void between classic 2D cel animation and live-action films. I mean, the ending to the original Toy Story was something that you had to see on screen…
To me, most other movies are animation, wheras pixars are film, haha. Meaning that Pixars movies, created in a virtual space, showcase more emotion in 3 minutes than most do their entire length. I would love to see TS3 surpase that crapfest known as “avatar” or as its titled overseas “james camersons attempt at thinking he can pass good self judgment on material he’s written under a head bigger than the moon” hahahah I would much rather have the world sucked into AN ACTUAL movie, rather than for namesake.
HUH? Okay, i think I need to stay away from all these spoilers, because I ended up spoiling The Simpsons Movie for myself and I don’t want to spoil Toy Story 3 for myself.
