The video isn’t playing for me…
Anyways, I have hard ones that at times are soft, so I might want to try this. Thanks for the video! That is, if I could get it to work
No matter if they’re hard or soft, this will work. I used mine as example as they’re the more hard kind. Overall, they’re all of the same type of vinyl, which in nature is physically slightly flexible, which is perfect.
I am fixing the video now, I’m adding a seperate one for the squeaking as the first didnt pick up sound. I apologize for the vid crappin out.
Yeah, video doesn’t play, tried both Firefox and Opera, no dice.
Even though it would squeak with the harder ones, I don’t think I would bother unless it was easily squeezable, because I’m after more than just the sound, but see it squished, like when Sid feeds it to Scud.\
Edit: just saw the squeaking video, pretty cool. it made my laugh for some reason. like I’m like a friggin toddler or something, lol.
Do you know what controls the pitch? I think it would be nice to match the movie sound a bit more, but I’m not sure if its an issue with the squeaker or the alien itself.
Video fixed.
I too thought I wanted more than the sound, but when you can squeeze one and it squeaks, its really really cool, hahaha. I’m on my way out to get a couple more squeakers for the other 2.
This is why I wasnt going to do any latex or soft vinyl aliens as replicas, because I had this in mind and it turned out to work pretty good.
I couldn’t view the video you posted, but I saw the video of you squeaking on. That was music to my ears, nice job. I guess there now is hope for making these guys talk. I may get some aliens now.
Highly suggest to get them, even if its just a single glow one at target. The modification took one press of the drill, and insertition of the squeaker and the aliens (in my opinion) now became %100 accurate. They could be a tad softer to have arms move and stuff, but its not needed once you hear “the power of the squeak” hahaha. I cant quit squeaking mine. If you think the video is annoying, you should hear it here. I’ll be gathering up all squeakers I find, so I may send some out with hock purchasers if they wish.
Thanks for the tips. Now, I believe they’ll never be 100% accurate until we see the two types seen in the Crane Game, but that’s just because I’m a perfectionist. I’m just happy that they’re now able to do what they were intended to do instead of just looking pretty on a shelf.
Link fixed for “how to”
Woah. I HAVE TO do this to my aliens! Thats so awesome! I just need to see the making of video Thank you
EDIT: As soon as I post, the video is fixed. Awesome
No problem, now I just need a replacment squeaker for that bunny because he looks like presto kind of, hahah.
this is amazing so doing it when i get them.
thats really cool
Looks good to me.It’s nice to see the tables turned with regards to rear end probes and aliens.
Hahaha!
Has anyone does this to theirs hit or is it thought of as “Sid”-y, hahah?
Where do you get the squeaker?
Thanks Tyler Haslett! I may actually try this.
Squeakers can be obtained from dollar stores, etc. Look for super cheap latex or vinyl squeak toys, used for either party favors or animal toys.
The squeakers to use are the cylinder 1" long king, that looks like model number 407-408:
Heh, I didn’t realize there were so many different types of squeakers.
