According to some Concept art and storyboard it seems that orignally in toy story 1 Sid was going to strap woody on the rocket instead of buzz and on one storyboard sid is with a Unknown boy And lighting the rocket on fire with woody on it It also was referenced in the final film when woody says im the one who should be strapped to the rocket

I can imagine if that’s really what happened, things would’ve changed during the milk crate scene. That, or when Sid finds Woody outside.
It would be very interesting to piece together how Toy Story would’ve turned out, there’s definately enough deleted scenes and ideas for it to be made into a completely different movie.
Lol that would be better i think, having Buzz potentially save the day, suit him more as he is meant to do that kind of stuff.

And I thought I knew everything about deleted scenes so far, but this is new. And I don’t have the DVDs yet (a couple weeks ago, I gave in and almost bought the DVD/Blu Ray pack, but the store tried to rip me off, so I didn’t). I did hear that there was an alternate sequence of Sid being scared, but that doesn’t sound like this, although it might fit into the rocket lighting part. Still, I’d be grateful on information on that as well.
Yup i saw the Alternate sid sequence and Man it was horrible It involed woody coming fully alive also it was kinda dark and it is hinted that The Mutant toys attacked or possibly killed sid at the end

The Sid scene isn’t on youtube currently sorry but it was a Bizarre scene it is also worth noting that Buzz says a Crude Word on the scene

Speaking of deleted lines, I was quite surprised by Shakes the Rattles’ use of the D word in his entrance scene. LOL
It looks like the early Black Friday era storyline revolved more around greed, jealousy, and revenge, whereas the final version has a lot more positive messages. Sure, Woody causing Buzz to fall out the window was definately a mistake, but we were all rooting for him to make things right. I don’t really know how to relate to Black Friday Woody… He actively threw Buzz out the window (not caring if Buzz died) just to go to Pizza Planet, tried to cover it up, and then viciously insulted any toy that spoke out. That script was going nowhere.
And if anyone can get these clips on YouTube, I would be forever grateful.
