Yeah, it is! When I first saw that pic I was totally wowed out.
I was actually looking for that picture the entire time when WALL-E was in that area.
This isn’t exactly a deleted scene, but you know the blobby people in Lifted, Stu and Mr. B.? The Art of WALL-E says, originally the humans in WALL-E were green Jell-O like creatures who didn’t even know they were human anymore, and they had a type of royalty system. Anyways, the pictures confirm that the model for Mr. B. could have been used in WALL-E. The story was more whimsical then, but when they added live action, they had to design more realistic looking humans.
Martini833: A royalty system? And also, so a bunch of Mr. Bs were flying around?
Here’s the text (edited for length) among concept art of the Mr. B. like “gels”:
“In the beginning, the film was very whimsical. The gelatins were a king and queen and their court, and there was a floating palace in a giant bubble… we had to mix a more human element into this so we would feel this story could just happen to us.”
~Noah Klocek, Sketch Artist
Martini833: Sorry to go off the topic of deleted scenes, but I found these WALL-E concept art pictures. Were these sketches in the book?

The first one looks familiar, but the bottom two are not in The Art of WALL-E book. I was a bit surprised but oh well, it’s still a great book.
Oh, because I was looking for pictures from the inside of The Art of WALL-E and I only found the ones that I just showed from here:

(Ignore the relfections of the wall of other pictures that you can see in the photos.)
I’ve seen those, they’re actually from the Pixar: 20 Years of Animation exhibit, they are suposedly from WALL-E, but they weren’t chosen for the book.
Anyway, this isn’t a deleted scene, but it is deleted music I think would have been in the movie. Check out the trailer and listen to the music after EVE’s rocket blasts off, until the end. It sounds very good.
I think it was written specifically for the montage in the trailer. There’s no actual place in the film that it would fit in.
Nope.
Though, I really hope it’d be there in the film. It’d make a great, beautiful romantic scene. <3
I’ve gone through those deleted scenes in WALL-E’s DVD, but I couldn’t find a scene with that picture. Anyway, they’re still very interesting and informative.
