a clip from toy story 3 was shown at Venice International Film Festival, heres what happens.
Andy now has grown up, he has to go to college and his mom tells him to get rid of his stuff in the bedroom: attic or trash.
So andy finds Buzz and Woody in a box and decides to bring Woody with him at the college and put the other toys in a black
plastic bag for the attic. When he opens the ladder to the attic his sister shows up and he leaves the plastic bag on the floor to help her. the ladder closes and his mum walks by, sees the plastic bag and put everything near the trash out of the house.
The trash truck is coming and Woody witnesses everything and tries to help his friends (they are inside, using the dino’s tail to break the bag). Woody arrives but cracks the wrong bags. So the man takes the bag and put it on the truck. Woody runs to help his friends
when we see a close up of the truck starting to swallow the bags. Then close up of woody that shouts “nooooo!”
Cant wait to see this. but I’m kinda shocked Andy decided to take Woody and Buzz to College.
Edit: Wait, read that again, Andy only takes Woody apparantly? No Buzz? Guess that makes more sense. If your going to bring a toy to college its going to be the one your most sentimental about. He had Woody much longer, and its been in the family for generations.
Still, I cant help but think back to Stinky Pete’s speech… “Do you really think Andy is going to take you to college?” shows what he knew. heh
I think this is some crazy dream sequence. We know they end up in the day care center. This probably just shows Woody’s fears of being separated from his pals.
They probably do end up at a day care, but it could happen at very end of the movie. That’s what I always assumed. This movie could take place in a landfill for all we know. Maybe they get rescued by someone about to get them crushed, and decides to bring these toys in perfectly usable shape still and brings them to a daycare.
Now that I think of it, the Day Care idea just kinda has to happen.
I think I’d imagine it like this:
Woody is chosen
Rest of toys ‘thrown away’
Woody goes to save
When the gang is back together, someone finds them (day care owner probably?)
Takes them to daycare
Eh? Eh?
Or, they could’ve been placed in a bag and everyone except Woody is taken to the daycare by Andy. (I think his mom would throw them away)
And Woody goes to save them
hmm, I think that either of these would make a good plot. My only complaint is Woody going off on his own, he is my favorite character and all but I just don’t like the idea of the third and last movie being all him.
I agree Woody,and I think TS3 shouldn’t be all were he rescues them and THEN they go to the daycare.I’m sure Woody will meet new friends along the way.And I’m sure that some scenes of the movie will follow Buzz and the other toys.And besides,we get a longer trailer before the double feature,so I’m sure some bits of the clip will be shown. Anyways,can’t wait!
the other two movies are about woody too though when you think about it.
1st one was about how woody delt with being replaced. and the second about him being discarded. he’s always been the leader of Andy’s toys. but its not like the other toys are ignored. they all get decent scenes and such.
and remember barbie and ken are said to play a large role, so Im guessing somehow woody meets up with them or something? not sure how. maybe Andy’s gets a girlfriend who brought her dolls to college? Im really reaching here, but it could happen.
If there was it would probably be all over the net by now. Pixar has always been pretty good about not letting these things leak. the only time I remember something like this getting out was a clip from up that used an early scratch track. and that got pulled pretty quickly.
I don’t know I like this so far. It sounds great until I get to where they get taken away by the garbage truck with Woody screaming “NOOO!” It just sounds…unoriginal, I guess. Hopefully, this is a dream sequence or something.
Wait, so is this official then? If so spoiler tags should be used, as I for one don’t want to know what happens in the first scene until I actually watch it.
I didn’t mark spoilers because, well, its pretty obvious what’s inside this topic from the title, isn’t it? not to mention I don’t really see any of this as spoilers, this info does nothing but set up the film. You’ll find most of this stuff out by just watching one a trailer that comes out later.
Anyway, other people’s descriptions can be found online now, places like IGN, and variety. the nost obvious thing that the original write up I posted didnt mention is that in the trailer we’ll get next month the toys do end up at the day care where they are[spoil] abused by kids, and try to escape to find a new owner. [/spoil] so it seems the whole trash truck part of the plot is shortly lived, and the daycare is a larger part of the plot.
There’s also a new character, a hedghog named Mr Pricklepants.
This has totally sold me on TS3. (Not that I needed selling, but…) I don’t find Lotso appealing at first glance ([spoil]his cameo in Up is all I’ve seen[/spoil]), but this - [spoil]Mr. Pricklepants, “a hedgehog toy with thespian tendencies,” as he’s been described, voiced by Timothy Dalton,[/spoil] sounds like a character I could really love.
