I figured that it was high-time we discuss something new, even if it is
a rather small topic of…discussion. Heheh.
Of all the characters whom we know so far,
who’s design is your favorite?
Do you like Remy’s sleek build and blue fur
more than “Rollie’s” pudgy figure?
Does Colette appeal to you more than Linguini does?
Do you like the design of the human characters more than the rats?

opinions!
Hmm… this is rather a tough choice, since all the character designs have been so
well crafted.
I will have to say that Pixar did an exceptional job designing the rats. The animators
blended elements of realism and that sort of cartoon-y feeling without making the rats look disgusting.

CountSolo - Indeed, they did do an excellent job concerning the
rats – their fur is practically perfect, and their movements are top-notch.
I also love how the
animators made Remy and his friends look like real rats, but have that “cartoon-y” quality about them
at the same time.
To answer question 3, I like the designs in the rats
better than the humans. That is what the whole movie is focused on.
Okay, first question- yes, I prefer Remy’s build, but
‘Rollie’s’ build suits his own personality.
I don’t know who Colette and Linguini are- I’ve been
ignoring any conversations to do with finding out about new characters, as I’d rather just watch the film to
find them out.
The design of the human characters, as far as we’ve seen so far, does appeal to me, as
they’re cartoony and not trying to be real. I still prefer the rats nonetheless, since they are the stars of
this film, and I think they look better overall (despite Remy’s horrible expression on the recent poster).

I
really, really like the human designs - not that I don’t love the rats, too, it’s just rare to see humans done
right in a CGI movie!
Well I too gotta say I like how they designed the rats. Realistic without looking nasty or
anything. I think I like how they did Remy the best. (which is probably good since he’s the main character. I
mean, you gotta look at him for 2 hours)
