Good evening.

I have a suggestion to

make…

Wouldn’t it be interesting – and cool – if members of Pixar Planet could have their own,

personal diaries? There could be a link to a diaries section at the top of the forum page – in range of easy

access to all who wish to submit their daily entries via the wonderful internet.

As an added bonus, the

diaries/journals could be customizable:

Skins - Members could upload/select

different Pixar-related skins to decorate their journal with: Monsters Inc.,

Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, etc.

Layout - Different formats (letterbox, postcard, etc.) would be available

for those who wish to make their diaries appear more appealing.

Texture -

Members would have the option to select the type of texture they wanted – including wavey/swirly

(Finding Nemo-style), zig-zag/jutted ([i]The

Incredibles[/i]-style), and symbolic/playful (Monsters Inc.-style).

Just a thought I had in the back of my head. What do you think? :smiley:

It sounds like a good idea, but

aren’t diaries supposed to be private entrees?

And, yes indeed, the entrees entered

would be private…if the writer/publisher so choosed to keep it secret. Perhaps, there could be an option to

“hide” or “display” one’s diary entrees, so that other members could view it at their

pleasure…if allowed to do so.

That would be kinda cool. But I dont think I have the time to properly keep

one…

You wouldn’t have to enter your personal logs into it if you didn’t want to. :wink:

I thought about this and maybe it isn’t such a bad idea. People can look at it

with the member’s concent first.

Nice idea, Mitch. They could be used

as diaries like most other sites use journals- My Space, dA and many other large sites have a journal

feature.

I suppose we will have to

wait quite a while – when Pixar Planet gets more popular, perhaps – until this

feature may be available, however. I know the moderators and administrators are always trying to improve upon

this wonderful website, so I thought that a new feature such as diaries might be an intersting addition to the

forums, especially when considering special layouts and designs.

sounds like a neat idea, but it also sounds like a

programming nightmare! haha! Way to make me spit out my cornflakes :wink: I will see what is doable though, if not

separate diaries we could probably manage a member blog, if Dash OKs it :smiley:

That is not going to work.
Anybody can make a blog.
So the idea is useless.

Well,

anybody can make a diary as well - livejournal, greatestjournal, deadjournal, xanga and probably countless others

– and anybody can make a forum, a website, whatever, so why did we bother setting any of this up? :stuck_out_tongue:

of course, and I’m sure they would provide a rather unique problem concerning programming, and I wouldn’t want

to cause any trouble for you guys. :wink:

But if it is tiring for the mods, then I think they shouldn’t do it. After all, they have a

busy life right now. And keeping PP up makes it even harder.
