When Buzz and woody are rescuing Lotso at the dumpster ,she yells “WOODY!” instead of “BUZZ!” who just save her like 5 minutes before that?, is she not worried about Buzz?
There’s something else about that scene that bugs me a bit.
[spoil]Woody starts floating up when holding the golf club, but Buzz weighs it down. So why does it go rocketing up when Woody, Buzz, and Lotso are all holding onto it? I’m thinking I missed something.[/spoil]
Probably because she had spent a lot of the last scene worrying about Buzz, and they thought that she should still show that she has some concern for the little cowboy. XD
[spoil]Another aggravating question is how did Slinky manage to get free of the magnet.[/spoil]
[spoil]I didn’t mind it. Buzz knows Jessie’s all for him, the way she kissed him repeatedly once he was back to normal for good.
How DID Slinky get free of the magnetic roof? It still worked, since everyone else’s pieces were still up there[/spoil]
[spoil]Someone might have grabbed onto him. Not sure if that would be enough force, but maybe that’s what happened.[/spoil]
I was confused about slink too, but reading some other fan discussion on this, it sounds like all the toys grabbed on to him to pull him down. I don’t think this could every actually happen,[spoil] being an electromagnet[/spoil] and all, but that’s the only solution I can think of.
I even asked Lee about this, but he hasn’t been answering plot questions since he doesn’t want to spoil the movie for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet.
That bothered me a bit too…throughout the whole movie Jessie constantly overlooked Buzz for Woody. [spoil]examples: When Buzz was deluded and she was in the “cell” she wispered to Bullseye about how she missed Woody…shouldn’t she be upset about Buzz being deluded? And when Buzz was in Spanish mode she blew him off for Woody…it seemd odd to me…like she was really Bi-polar with Buzz… and then there’s that too.[/spoil]
like Rac_Rules said it was probably mostly because they wanted to show Jessie still cared about Woody too, especially considering how she [spoil]yelled at him earlier[/spoil][/b]
I thought the scene went like this: [spoil]Woody jumps down to save Lotso, and she immediately yells “Woody!”, and Buzz doesn’t fall until the camera moves down to where Lotso and Woody are anyway, so you couldn’t really hear her. As for the club and Slink, I think both are legit plot errors. The Golf club one really doesn’t make sense, I think woody should’ve pulled out the other one too to make them float[/spoil]
Yeah, I was wondering about that as well and when [spoil]Jessie said she missed Woody. I guess Jessie still felt bad about yelling at Woody earlier when they were in the daycare and before that when they were in the box. Also, poor Bullseye missed Woody so much. So, of course Jessie had to comfort him. She probably wasn’t that worried about Buzz because he had changed. She knew he had gotten switched to Demo Mode, but she also knew that nothing bad would happen to him. So that’s probably why she was more concerned about Woody.[/spoil]
[spoil]Buzz put his life on the line for Jessie and she’s obviously grateful for it and happy that he’s ok. But she’s probably more worried about Woody because their sibling like relationship and the fact that Buzz can take care of himself, but Woody can be a wimp sometimes. He’s brave, but he’s also a wimp. And that’s one of the many reasons as to why I love Woody. XD
Nothing to worry about when it comes to Jessie and Woody though. Naturally they are really close so depending on the situation, Jessie’s going to be more concerned about Woody. Once again it depends on the situation.
At the end of the day she loves Buzz as well and it’s been proven that she worries about him too. <3
As for the “Slinky on the magnet” thing. I assumed that the other toys pulled him down. One of many things that will be left unanswered, lol.[/spoil]
Mabey Jessie thought Buzz could take care of of himself.
I think that Jessie yelled “Woody!” instead of “Buzz!” because maybe Woody was the first to jump down to save Lotso and like what YouUnculturedSwine
said Buzz fell moments after Woody it would make sense that she yelled his name first and helped him up : 
[spoil]Well the club is already under the bag (it was the bag that was trapping Lotso wasn’t it?) so it was floating towards but anchored by the bag. Once it was free of the bag it went up.
Although I suppose there was that brief period whereby he grabbed it but hadn’t wedged it under the bag, but as I recall (not played with magnets for a while) there is a point whereby it can be a ‘middle ground’ i.e. not instant due to weight, gravity etc[/spoil]
