Did somebody lose something?

I looked around to see if somebody mentioned this

earlier.
Lately I’ve been studying Remy’s design because you know, I’m compulsive like that. So while

looking at the color changes in his skin texture (yeah, reallly compulsive) I caught this little jem. Sometime

between the teaser in 2006 and the footage we have now they changed Remy’s and probably the other rats’ toes.

I can understand why they did. It makes his foot structure looked less cramped and his toes can be

bigger and more soft looking. Anyone else’s thoughts? Oh and for the record, rats have 5 toes on their hind

feet.

I guess that Remy had four toes to begin with, but as the film went along, they

decided to give him 3? I don’t know, just a stupid guess. I never caught that until now.

Yeah, I guess they just decided to simplify Remy’s overall design

(toes included) so that he would look more “rat like” and be easier to animate. Personally, I have

always favored the old, original design for Remy that we saw in the teaser trailer

over his new, silky smooth design. He looked more like a sewer rat back then; however, I can understand why they

changed a few things…
