Did you see
American Idol,it was soo funny! ![]()
Nah, I donât watch American Idol. It isnât
my kind of show.
Heh â yeah, me too. Iâve never been one for reality shows and things that fit into that
category. Heck, I donât watch 21st century tv shows, period. ![]()
However, I do have to admit that I
viewed a few American Idol shows while I was at my auntâs house once. It was pretty
funny. (snigger)
Canât say that I have,
but primarily because I donât have cable where I currently live. Either way, I think Iâve heard enough bad
singers from the previous seasons to last me a lifetime. Oy.
TSS, I wouldâve thought this show was right up your
alley. You like singing and performing, donâtcha? ![]()
I mainly watch American
Idol for the dreadful auditions, but when those are all said and done, I donât tune in to the
show as often.
~~=oP
Iâve watched a few episodes of
Pop Idol (the British version of American Idol) and all the contestants are usually rubbish. Only the auditions
are entertaining, really.
I only watch the auditions of american idol , and if it wasnât so funny , i
wouldnât watch it at all . Scooter Girl ( season 3 ) could have been Razor scooterâs mascot and in a broadway
musical , but her AI contract wouldnât allow it .
Well, I do, but there is a certain extent to it. I just feel
bad when that Simon guy makes all of those comments to all of the singers who donât sing to well.
Oh,
Simon Cowell? Yeah, heâs really cruel. Itâs not easy to tell someone that theyâre not going to make it in
showbusiness, but there are other ways of doing it that donât include blatently telling someone how rubbish they
are.
I hate people like that. If someone isnât good, just tell them respectfully. It
wouldnât hurt their feelings. That is why I donât like watching American Idol. Simon Cowell is evil.
The Star Swordsman - I
agree. Itâs perfectly fine to voice your opinions, but verbally (or physically) harassing them beyond the limit
is rather âover the topâ and crude, so to speak. I just donât watch the show, period. But, like I
said, the really bad singers sound pretty funny on the commercials. ![]()
I feel sorry for all of the bad singers in those commericals. They must feel humiliated.
Yeah, so do I. But hey, they were the ones who wanted to
be on the show. ![]()
But I get this horrible
feeling for them. After being embarassed in front of the world, they might do something horrible with
themselves.
Well, the way I see it is this:
1. They were the
ones who decided to stand up in front of billions of people in the first place, so they will have to realize that
whatever happens will happen because they are up there.
2. They have a
choice: to break down in front of everyone, or to face their fears and behave like a pro.
But yeah, I can
definitely see what you mean. I feel bad for them, too. After all that work, after all the time they took to get
onto the show, there is a chance that they will get ridiculed by the judges and look horrible on the camera.
Hopefully, that wonât happen, but you canât tell the judges what to do. On the other hand, they also have a
chance to shine and become famous to the world! SoâŠthere is a good side to it. ![]()
And, of course, one
may eventually get sick of watching the show. That is exactly what that âoffâ button on your remote is
for. ![]()
Although, in my opinion, I think that they have made too
many seasons of American Idol. After Kelly Clarkson won season one, I donât even remember who won in the other
seasons. And if you give me the name, I probably have never heard of them.
