Well, I know that it is going to take over
traditional reels of film, so much cheaper to distribute.
But I really don’t want it to happen, me and my
friends agree that part of the “buzz” (pun not intended) of going to the cinema, is the various
scratches and marks as you watch the ad’s and movie.
I’m not particularly educated in this matter- I
understand how the traditional reels of film work, but what is digital cinema?
Basically, they whole reel system is removed, and the video comes from a disc or
something I guess.
So it is like a DVD
player in the cinemas?
Well, that does sounda bit silly, but effectively
yes.
They believe they can just distribute it digitally, because the only gain from the cinema is big
screen and big sound. I actually, as stated, like all the scratches on film etc., doesn’t particularly effect my
viewing.
