I’m not talking real-life, but actually in the movie. I know it came from Toy Story
But the logo is a Dinosaur, but in the Cars world isn’t everything supposed to be a car or something? It showed the bugs, and they were cars…
So does the existence of dinoco confirm that the Cars universe was once like ours or something? Idk, it just hit me…since we never really see anything but the Cars and the little car bugs and the cows/bulls shown to be tractors. We never see a fleshing creature
Good point. That never came to my mind before. Somewhere though, Tex Dinoco must have seen or read about dinosaurs or dinosaur-like creatures.
Huh, you know, that is an interesting question…I do wonder about where the dinosaur image came from within the world of cars. I agreee that Tex had to of heard about it from somewhere in order to come up with the logo for his company.
You know, I’ve never thought of that before, but keep in mind, the birds from For the Birds make a cameo appearence. See, there’s one thing about Cars that keeps me hooked. You’re always contemplating how the heck their world works. I mean, you have real birds, yet car bugs. And now, dinosaurs are thrown into the mix! head spins
i think the main point of the movie having cars in the first place was to fit the message of how mcqueen should stop speeding through life, that kinda thing. if the cars were people and animals instead, parts of the story would be really different. interesting point you brought up! maybe it can be like an urban myth thing of how dinosaurs used to live and then cars took over the world!
I don’t completely understand it either. It’s funny how John Lasseter had gotten praise before for Toy Story and A Bug’s Life having a sense of realism, yet Cars seems to have no internal logic (or not a lot of it). It’s probably the first case with a Pixar film where you really had to accept it as a “cartoon” and not think so much into how it all works.

I like to think that the Cars world is a parallel universe to our own, except instead of humans you’ve got cars, and that there are different things about the atmosphere that adapts to all the emmissions and makes it suitable for cars and other vehicles to live in. 
I also have an idea that when cars from the Cars world die, their souls go to cars in the human world… or maybe it’s the other way around and the Cars universe is like car heaven?!
