Disney Cartoons

So . . . what’s on your list of favorite

Disney cartoons? This is a wide topic: It’s anything really . . . the classics, the ones on Disney

Channel/Toon Disney/ABC Family . . . and then the One Saturday Morning/ABC Kids shows . . .

For me,

nothing beats Gargoyles and Kim Possible. Nothing does

. . .

Oh wow, I loooove Disney cartoons. Let’s see, where to start…

Well, since I

can’t pick out my top favourite, I’ll just go in no particular order.

Darkwing Duck - Love the

characters, even the villains! It’s one of the best cartoons… it’s just… hilarious! I watch it even today!

Kim Possible - Funny as well… I can’t wait for Season 4!

Gargoyles - Great story. I can’t

remember much of it, but I have the first season on DVD so when I watch it, it’ll surely poke my memory,

hehe.

Aladdin - I loved what they did with this series. They came up with such cool villains… Mirage,

Mechanicles, Mozenrath, Chaos… almost every episode was a joy to watch. It’s a load of fun… they should bring

it to DVD.

Buzz Lightyear of Star Command - I looooove this cartoon, and I want it on DVD more than any

other cartoon. I miss watching it soo much… I miss XR, too. I didn’t think turning a 3-D animated movie into a

2-D animated spin-off series would work, but after one or two episodes, they proved me wrong. The characters that

work with Buzz (Mira, Booster and XR) are very well made… and Zurg is soooo amusing!

That’s all that

pops in my head right now. If somebody mentions another Disney cartoon that I loved, I’ll be sure to reply.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, I forgot Hercules! That was a great one too! Okay, I’ll go now…

Darkwing Duck, definitely. My Facebook status for a while said that I was the terror that

flaps in the night.

Chip and Dale, Rescue Rangers is also a classic. Or, as I used to call it when I

was little, “Chipperrangers.”

Duck Tales. My sister got it on DVD a while back, and it made me

ridiculously happy.

Gummi Bears! I always wanted to try the Gummi Berry Juice. "Gummi Bears,

bouncing here and there and everywhere…"

The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Timon & Pumbaa

cartoons were also high quality affairs. Of course, I’ve always been partial to The Little Mermaid…

Can you tell I’m a classic Disney kind of girl? Give me the old “Disney Afternoon” cartoons

any day.

Oh, Gummi Bears . .

. I used to sing the theme song during recess . . . WHILE hopping!

Yeah, the six graders could never stop

laughing . . . but I kept bouncing!

Kim Possible rocks … I’m so glad it got its new season!

I adored

Pepper Ann though - I’m sad Toon Disney won’t even show it anymore - that sucks! At least youtube should have

something other than the theme song - but nooo. :frowning:
And Weekenders – first show about Southern Californians

that I actually could connect to haha. That show could always make me laugh.

And I’ll go through Toon

Disney (when they actually SHOW the old shows … pfftt) – Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Duck Tales etc …

So

much of their new stuff sucks though. :frowning:

I loove KP! All

the characters I can totally relate to. It’s cheesy at times but that’s what makes it great. Plus I <3

Kim! Ironically though - I’d have to say all the boys are my favorite characters - specifically Ron and believe

it or not Jim and Tim. I have a random like for certain minor characters.

I also like Lilo and Stitch and

was a huge fan of Rescue Rangers growing up.

Sadly though I really feel like Disney’s falling behind

lately with its series - in fact - these days when it comes to cartoons I watch more Cartoon Network than Disney.

Amen to that!

I

can’t stand most of Disney’s cartoons nowadays. The only one I like at all is Lilo & Stitch the

series.

And the one that they air now that is based on one of my favorite Disney movies, The Emperor’s

New Groove, stinks. The animation isn’t as good as it could be. I think they tried to simplify everything the

best they could without losing too much detail.

I remember the good ol’ days when I watched Rescue

Rangers, Talespin, Darkwing Duck, Bonkers, Goof Troop, and Timon & Pumbaa nonstop. Until the day I have all

these series on DVD, I won’t be satisfied.

~~=oP

Yeh, they really should put all

those great Disney cartoons on DVD. They’re already doing that to Gargoyles and I think they will for Darkwing

Duck.

Did

some searching:

Rescue Rangers - Volume 1

Don’t

forget:

Sounds

interesting. I’ve seen Gargoyles and Rescue Rangers before. But that’s just about it

I love Chip and

Dale and DuckTales. Funny and really cool.

Yeah, I’m totally thinking of getting

Darkwing Duck or Chip & Dale’s Rescue Rangers . .

.

Goof Troop and Chip and Dale

Rescue Rangers!

House of Mouse is good, if you watch in between the video shorts. It’s funny to see

the cartoons from various Disney films interact.

Proud Family’s cool too.

Just for clarificiation: Did they cancel Mickey Mouse Works just to plug up House of Mouse with modern footage,

as well as the classic cartoons?

Because it seemed MMW’s run was a little too short if you asked

me!

BTW - House of Mouse was hilarious!! Jeff Bennet as Baby Shelby was my favorite!

Woo! That was

sooner than I expected! I better save some money at the end of summer, hehe.

Hey guys, It

might be a rumor, but I heard that Didney is going to make an Incredibles TV series.

Oh please no. That would be

absolute H E double hockey sticks. I mean, I’m not fond of Incredibles anymore because of certain people, but it

would still mess it up. Disney likes to mess around with movies and make them series … it’s just stupid.

=P

I loved the

House of Villians spin-off of House of Mouse! I

couldn’t stop laughing!

I used to adore Rescue Rangers and

Gummi Bears and, of course, Aladdin. I’m not a big

fan of the Disney straight-to-video sequels and TV spin-offs generally, but Aladdin

is the exception to the rule for me. I still have some of the episodes on video back in my mum’s house. I went

over at the start of the year to throw out a load of my old toys and videos and things that I don’t really have

room for in my house (or the money to ship over!), and I refused to let go of those

ones. Despite not having a VCR.

I think, of the new cartoons, Kim

Possible is the best – I adore Ron! – and

Recess was quite fun to watch, too.

Ahh! I just remembered Jungle Cubs. Can’t remember much of it, but I liked it as a

kid.
