Who here has seen a Disney on Ice show? Care to share your experiences? Any Disney on Ice show coming to your area anytime soon? Are there any that you are excited to see?
I was at the Disney On ice show in Berlin last March. It was fun. So many nice things, like a Stitch plushie and much more. I was amazed by the show. Mot of the time they were retelling the actual movie of the segment in a short version (f.i. Finding Nemo). I hope there will be another show soon.
I saw Finding Nemo, The Incredibles go to Disneyland, and Monster’s Inc… I really like them. The Finding Nemo one was my favorite. They’re just repeating the Incredibles go to Disneyland this year though .
I would give anything to see the Disney on Ice show where the Incredibles go to Disneyland and/or 100 Years Magic show. I wish it comes into my area again.
Finding Nemo on Ice is coming in January at my place !
I really hope that i will get a change to go see it, if i do i will tell you about it !
OMG I haven’t been to a Disney on Ice show since I was REALLY little (like…20 years ago). I’d go see one again and re-live the memories. They’re probably a lot better now…I think I missed my chance in my area
This is actually one of the few Disney shows I am able to catch locally, but unable to catch cheaply. Yeah, the tickets are burning in terms of cost, and you can’t get good seats from buying the cheap ones.
If you check the Disney On Ice website, I am sure that they can give you a schedule of what show is going to come into your area in the future.
Thanks! I did check the website for shows, and I did miss them…or WILL miss them since I can’t make the remaining shows. Alas! Next year…
Oh, I am sorry to hear that.
THe most recent Disney on Ice show came to my area about 2 weeks ago so that means I have to wait for a while for it to come back.
I’ve seen a couple. The last one I saw was Finding Nemo. I was probably the oldest one there without kids, lol! Not to mention I probably stuck out since I was wearing my black leather jacket with my Green & black striped shirt with the skulls on it…My school would sometimes have trips to that and I know we went to at least one but I dont remember what…When I was in second grade we were gonna see Aladdin on Ice, but there was a snow day! That really upset me but my dad was nice enough to take me that weekend, which was better because I didnt have to go with class, plus I could get a program and stuff (which I still have).
lennonluvr9 :Haha, I think I’d feel old too if I went to an ice show, but oh wells…I’d enjoy it as much as the kids!
Random fact: I once had the chance to do publicity for Disney on Ice. Maybe missing the shows is bad karma for me
I keep seeing Finding Nemo on Ice being advertised on TV, but the tickets are quite expensive and I don’t think I’ve really got the time to go and see it. And the whole fish with legs thing is just slightly weird.
I thought of that too LG. But if you thought the fish with legs was wierd, I think the fish costumes with with a human head on the top looks really freaky.
When I was there at a show, it was a 25th Anniversary. They retold different Disney movies, but shorter, including three (four) Pixar films. And these were the segments:
- Something with Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale about the broken machine
- The “Friend Like Me” scene from Aladdin
- Finding Nemo
- Beauty And The Beast
- Disney Princess, where they sang a part of their specific song (Belle: Beauty and The Beast; Pocahontas: Colors of The Wind; Snow White: Some Day My Prince Will Come; Ariel: Part of your World; Cinderella: So This Is Love; and somebody else, but I can’t remember who)
- Toy Story/ Toy Story 2
- It’s A Small World
- The Incredibles
- Mulan
- The Lion King
(I’m pretty sure I forgot something)
And Stitch often appeared, interrupting them, because he wanted his own part. In the end he got to play a guitar.
You are missing Pinochio from that list WON. And that was the most recent show I watched about 3 weeks ago. I loved it so much, I cheered when the Incredibles came on. At the end of the show, the characters would have a meet and greet with the audience. I was the only big TI fan out there. I drew attention to the Incredibles characters. They all waved, winked, and posed for me. I even got a kiss from Violet.!
I bet you loved that TSS !
You bet. It was almost like a dream come true for me. I will never forget it.
I would have also loved it ! Even though Violet’s a girl xD !
In the Incredibles Disney on Ice show, I called out “VIOLET! YOU ARE HOT! I LOVE YOU!!!” The skater almost tripped and laughed and almost broke character. But I recieved kiss and a wink in the end.
