The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning has just been released. Huh? I thought John Lasseter banned Disney sequels, how they release another…oh, i get. It’s not technically a sequel; it’s a prequel, a film that takes place before the original.

Uh oh…

What does this mean? Does this mean we have to put up with tons of horrible, stupid Disney prequels now‽ Nooooooo…!

Actually, the agreement was that after The Little Mermaid III: Ariel’s beginning was when there would be no more sequels.

And actually, The Lion King 1 1/2 was a prequel, (or at least a mid-quel) and was not that bad. So, I’m not expecting the worst.
