Awesome, K9! You’re only missing the one I don’t remember.
I think Disney might be going into a second Renaissance!! I’m so excited to see more stuff now. I hope they keep it up.

I hope so! I saw most of TPATF, I really liked it. And I can’t wait to rent Tangled on DVD.
I like PatF, but it’s not one of my favorites. It’s a little over rated in my area. But I like something about each Disney Princess, and her movie. I hope so too; and trust me, you’ll like Tangled. You have good taste.
Why thank you! I’m sure I’ll like it, too.
Yep! Most Disney fans find Tangled to be perfect to sit aside The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast. The only people I met who disagree are people who are strictly traditional animation fans.
Your list is coming along great, K9Girl! And I agree with e-j-e, Pocahontas has such warm music. And the colors used in the movie are really beautiful.
Favoring traditional makes sense to me. I’d like more traditional Disney movies. But I like both, and I thought Tangled was excellent. But everything has anti fans.
Yeah. In the end, it’s not the technique that matters! Plus, Tangled uses CGI so nicely. The hair looks great! They couldn’t have made it look that nice with traditional animation.
I agree. They should choose medium based on the story, not the popularity.
This is how I feel, I just want disney to be able to make good timeless films. I don’t want 2d to die either though, so I’m glad that the people there still think the medium has stories to be told.
I agree. Doing this peticular retelling of Rapunzel in traditional animation would not do it justice. I mean, Rapunzel’s hair glowing and looking so lucious? It couldn’t be as beautiful and delightful looking as it was in CG. It’s just a matter of choosing which is best for the story.
I agree. I’ve always liked having dark hair, and that movie made me want blond hair for a minute there. She has the most beautiful hair I’ve ever seen.
Though I will admit [spoil]while I am used to it being blonde, she looked kind of pretty with it short and brown later on too.[/spoil]
Oh no, I liked it that way too! I only worry[spoil]if it would stay short like that forever, like the tuft in the back of her head did.[/spoil] I love it either way. But it’s much shinier blond and long and perfect.
Woohoo! Only one more to go now!
I love that list K9! You and I have our first and last in common.
Sorry for the bump, but I wanted to rank the Renaissance films.
1.)Beauty and the Beast
2.)The Hunchback of Notre Dame
3.)Aladdin
4.)The Little Mermaid
5.)Tarzan
6.)The Lion King
7.)Mulan
8.)Hercules
9.)Pocahontas
10.)The Rescuers Down Under
Nice list IV! With the exception of Lion King being kind of low, I like it.
Beauty and The Beast has alway’s been low for me.
