Okay, maybe I’m looking a little too far into the future, but oh well. Next year, “Wall-E” is due to be released during the summer, and Disney’s “Bolt” is supposed to be released in November. So next year will be fine for the Disney company, because the movies aren’t competing with each other. I’m worried about 2009, when Disney is planning to release “Up” (Which will get the summer spot), “The Princess and the Frog” (which is supposed to be released in December), “A Christmas Carol” (Also to be released in December), and maybe even “Rapunzel” (Jim Hill has said the release date is in 2010, but other sites have suggested summer, 2009).
That means “Up” will be competing with “Rapunzel”, and “The Princess and the Frog” will be competing with “A Christmas Carol”. Now, I bet Disney’s noticed this, so maybe they’ll move around the release dates. I am just hoping none of the films get an April release date, due to “Home on the Range” and “Meet the Robinsons” being released in April, and not doing so well. Or, maybe I need to relax and stop worrying, because these are just movies, and it doesn’t really matter if these films bomb, as long as they were good movies.
