As Buzz & Woody are obviously the main characters out of his toys, where as Rex, Slinky etc.are secondary, do you think of Jessie as a main or secondary character as I can’t actually decide she’s right smack in the middle of main/secondary.
Definitely main. You don’t give all that screen time and a whole back story in the form of a montage to a secondary character.
Main Character. At first it was Woody and Buzz, now since TS2 it’s Woody, Buzz and Jessie.

I think of them all main characters but I think the movies kinda about woody cause its his view you see things at most of the time.
In the second movie I’d have considered a main character. Guess will have to wait and see in the thrid. I do agree, Woody to me is the main character. I mean, every things always happing around him.
Yeh he is easily the main character in the second one, but I thought Buzz was the main character in the first as it was more centered around him.
And by looking at the trailer it seems Woody is certainly going to be the main character,
and Ken is going to fill Jessie’s boots if you will, as the main new character, and Lotso - Stinky Pete etc.
These are buddy films guys, there isnt a single main focus character in any of them.
Buzz,Woody, Jessie, Bullseye, Rex, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Slinky, and Ham are main characters to me.
So Jessie became a main at the end of TS2, I didn’t view her as a main throughout the film though until the end. I would consider Bo Peep as a main also, but she hardly had a role in TS2. 
Really? I always thought of Woody as the main character in the first one too. I mean it was more about his jealousy and making friends with Buzz, than Buzz figuring out he was a toy. I always thought of that one as a subplot. I do agree, I also think Ken will kind of be taking Jessie’s place as a main character. Some how I don’t think shey’ll be having as big as of role. Course I’m not sure what Buzz role will be either. Cuz it kind of looks like Buzz will be taking a back seat too.
I think the story revolved around Buzzz more in thh first one, but hey it’s just opinions 
. Anyway in the 3rd, I think Buzz does have a big role (Although not as big as Woody), because in the trailer he looks like he’s joined the ‘evil’ group when Lotso says ‘you’ve got a playdate with destiny’, and of course Spanish Buzz 
.
It would make me really sad if Jessie doesn’t get a big role. Well because she’s my favourite character and all, but I think, or I hope she’s a main character in this movie.
Yeh it seems that she’s taking the role of Rex,Slink,Hamm etc of the first two, as just ‘part’ of the other toys, seems Ken and Lotso both have much bigger roles 
In Toy Story 2 Jessie and Bullseye were only new characters, but now I would consider them to be up there with Woody and Buzz (especially Jessie). To be honest, I think of Hamm, Rex, Mr. Potato Head, Slinky Dog, and the aliens as being the main cast as well. Secondary characters in Andy’s room would be more like Lenny, Rocky, RC, Wheezy, and that one robot toy in the original film.
