I always
freak out about my grades.
![]()
Who doesnât? I used to dread what my final History grade would be, since I used to be so bad
at it. ![]()
Politics suck⊠(snigger)
Hmm, well, it kind of depends on whatâs being graded. If itâs for an exam that
doesnât actually effect anything, and which has the sole purpose of just finding out what your strong and weak
points are, then thatâs okay. But when it comes to official things, like the final grades of my GCSEs, then it
would be safe to say that I will worry, as most people do. ![]()
Yup,same here
.Which is exatly
the reason my parents wonât let me play team sports.(They want me to focus on my grades.) ![]()
Well, I am a good student. But finals are coming up, and the end of first
semester is comming up for me. I am starting to get a little nervous.
offtopic: I play sports i play soccer!
OT: i alway freakout about
grades.
Speaking of which, how are everyoneâs grades right now? (I am so wierd.)
The
Star Swordsman - My grades are going pretty good actually â straight Aâs and Bâs (and the
occasional âCâ in Math). Thanks for asking. (snigger) ![]()
And no â youâre not weird at all! Iâm the
weird one. ![]()
Well, I am just an A, B
student. I am not alowed to get Câs. If I do, Imy activities shall be cut.
The Star Swordsman - Wow â
that must be rather difficult. Have you ever âaccidentallyâ gotten a âCâ? And what activities are cut
from your schedule if that happens, if I may ask?
Well, all of my performing art activities really.
I have 4 weighted classes which helps alot with the gpa.
speaking of school
and grades, next year, i think ill choose Computer Graphics as my elective, and maybe Drawing & Painting
too.
I only bother about grades if I start going down. Otherwise, Iâm pretty much saving my stress
for college.
I rarely get homework in my classes but when I do it counts for a lot. All except for my Math
class. I get homework every day in there, and the psycho nuts called my house for forgetting one homework and
made it sound as if I was drastically failing when it was one homework. =P
We
donât have letter grades in our schools, only when itâs the first marking period now. I think Iâd prefer
letter grades because lots of kids have been failing from the start but their report card made it so they could
convince to their parents it was a 70 average. Not that I like to lie or anything itâs just my mom overreacts
when it comes to grades. =P
I just got my interim report
(sort of like a report card, I guess) but they always annoy me because if my target grade is A*, and I get an A,
I get an unhappy face. Even in things like physics, which is amazingly hard just to get an A in, and when I did,
I was still âbelow my target gradeâ. ![]()
Iâm doing pretty well right now as far as
grades go, but we are always told that grades donât matter in the animation business, so itâs a bit of a catch
22 - âYAY I GOT AN A⊠but it doesnât mean anything!â
If itâs one of those
required but easy GE classes, then I never sweat it. But in my psychology courses I freak out, specially when it
comes to the midterm, thesis paper, and final. My professor is kinda tough and strict (to put it kindly), so
anything thatâs handed in to him is a BIG deal to everyone.
Grades are a big deal to me and I deal with a lot of stress. My parents never tell me
their expectations but I donât want to let them down. Sometimes I realize that it isnât even hard for me to get
Aâs in a lot of my classes⊠but I stress about them anyways. I think I have OCD seriouslyâŠ
Although not one to talk about school, hate the thing, grades are a grave
matter.
To me, I particuarly hate them.
When you think about it, getting an F is just a stab at your
self-esteam. In some ways LABELING you a failure.
Thatâs what grades are a Label.
One time I recall, I
did a well written piece of work that went a bit over the 2-page RECOMMENDED limit and got a lower grade than I
should have.
Personally, Grades donât affect me. I should have to have a letter tell me how good I am at
something.
Since a semester for me is ending,
how worried are you guys about your grades when you hear finals are coming up?
I used to really freak out about them when I was younger but now I dont worry about them so
much. I still get a little nervous about them though. Especially around finals time. But I did good last
semester, a 4.0! Now I get to start all over again tomorrow with the new semester.
