do you like disney?

The Star Swordsman - I truely think it will. From

what I hear, Mr. Lasseter is attempting to get the Disney company back into the 2-D business/realm, which I am

extremely happy about. As long as John doesn’t put too much of a “Pixar flare” throughout the studio,

and tries to keep the theme of the place strictly Disney, I’ll be pleased.

We’ll see what happens in

the coming years. The very fact that Enchanted, which contains some hand-drawn

animation, will be released soon indicates that Disney may be off to a good start once again.

I think that

they will try. It won’t be as good as it was years ago, but it will come very, very close.

Not a big fan of the new disney , so I put nope . Besides , ever notice how he doesn’t like

girls that much . either there are no moms or they die ! And the only one’s with girl main characters are the

princess ones .

Besides , I hear they froze his head and ar keeping it until they figure out how to clone

people . That’s just freaky . :open_mouth:

And I hear

that head-freezing thing is justa rumor.

Disney seems to be a little too crazy lately. I mean, they’re

everywhere. Radio Disney, Disney Channel, Disney Stores, Movies, Disney Channel original movies… >_< Is

it just me, or i alot of things on Disney Channel veeeery similar? Often cliches and junk. And the Music on radio

Disney drives me crazy, and not in a good sense.
Waaaaay to many sequels for OLD Disney movies. I just saw an

advertisment for Cinderella 3…

Well, there are a few things I like… A few of their live actions movies

are quite good, but I do agree. I think they should go back to 2D(That feels weird to type) Style. It worked for

them.

similar?[/quote:wog57kqq]

Yes! All of Disney Channel’s original shows seem to

revolve around kids in middle/high school, and at least 1 kid from each show goes on to become a singer. :-\ I

swear, Disney Channel is evolving into MTV for kids.

~~=oP[/color:wog57kqq]

I agree with PixarVixen on

this: everything on the Disney Channel is quite repetitive – the men/boys seem to be often

“under-graded”/under-appreciated, there is usually a valley girl in their shows, and all of them are

teen-oriented.

This is why I hate the Disney Channel. The kids also seem to never listen to their parents

(at least…at first, they don’t), which is out there anyway…but is something that I…don’t appreciate. Heh.

:unamused:

The only good thing about the station are the Movie Surfers – Pixar

movie information! :stuck_out_tongue:

PV - Haha! “MTV for kids”. That’s funny.

And true!

I still haven;t forgiven them for ‘Twitches’ That was like my favorite book when I was in

grades 5-6. And they totally ruined it. It wasn’t like teh book at all, at least not teh way I imagined it. They

'teen’ified it. Like, in the movie, both sisters were really… girly. When in the books, they were supposed to

be opposites. >_< Anyway…

Yeah… that ‘everyone turns into singers bit’ reallly gets on my

nerves. And for alot of the ‘singers’ you can really tell that their voices have been altered.

I wish there was a middle ground for this question. I like Disney, but only to

a point. I like Disney World, at least the way it was when I was last there, 7 years ago. I like the Disney of

the 90s. The Disney movies back in the late 80s/early 90s were classics, not like what they attempt to put out

now. Plus yeah, the Disney Channel really stinks. I liked that back in the 90s too. Way back, when I had to watch

it at Grandma’s because we didnt get that channel yet. Now I only watch it when Timon & Pumbaa’s on,

because the other 97% I dont care for.

I will always love Disney, but man has it

been tough lately.

I love most, if not all, Disney movies, the recent stuff is questionable – but

everything prior and including Lilo & Stitch I pretty much love wholly.

I

still love SOME of the Disney Channel, mainly just Kim Possible, Phil of the Future, and any rerun I can get of

Even Stevens, and Lizzie McGuire.

EDIT - I still love to watch ALL Disney Channel Original Movies on the

night of their premeire, regardless of whether they are good or bad. It’s just a tradition of mine that I’ve

had since Brink! in 1998.

Other than that, well . . . I haven’t been to

Disneyland since 1998, which is a REAL SHAME, because I now GO TO COLLEGE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. Can not get

more pathetic than that, my friends. I pray this year I’ll get the time and cash to visit for a couple of

days.

But there’s still good in Disney . . . I know there is. There’s still . . . good . . . in –

Whoops, got a little Star War-sy right there.

Phoenician - Heheh – yay for Star

Wars, Pheon.

Oh dear. I really do hope that you get a

chance to visit Disneyland one of these days, especially considering the fact that you live so close to the area

in which it resides. Actually, I live in Southern California as well…so I know how close it really is.

And I agree that there is still some good in the heart of the Disney company, even though they went

downhill for a time there. However, since Mr. Lasseter and company are now in business, things will change

(hopefully for the better). We’ll just have to see what happens in the coming years. The very fact that Disney

will be going back to being a solely 2-D animated studio is something to smile about; at least, for me it

is.

And someone please tell me why there are so many TV shows

instead of Disney animations on Disney channel? And heck, half of the TV shows aren’t even mentioned in places

like Disey stores or Disneyland.

Actually, they

are advertised on the TVs in the Disney Stores. I’ve even seen merchandise for

Lizzie McGuire and That’s So Raven

there.

~~=oP

And I’ve also seen merchandise/advertisements for

Kim Possible, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and

others. They do get their tv show stuff out there, just not as much as they do their feature films and

character-related items.

I see. I guess that I have been hanging too much

around the Pixar section of the stores, trying to look for Incredibles stuff, I don’t take time to notice all of

the other stuff from the Disney Channel.

I voted yes for these reasons:

I was brought up watching Disney movies

I collecting all the animated disney movies i can get my hands on.

Love going to Disneyland

Love watching disney channel

enjoys listening to Disney music, yes even the classic songs like
“When you wish abon a star, or Under the Sea.”

After all that, you know i am a big disney fan. There no doubt about it.

Do I like Disney? No, I do not. In fact, I hate Disney. :imp: But I love Pixar.

My sister and I love Disney for their animated classics. Our favorites are mostly from the 1990s: Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Tarzan, The Emperor’s New Groove, and some others. Also Robin Hood is really funny. Jungle Book. You get it.
sheila

Oh yes, I remember those movies. Makes you think what ever happened to the Disney Magic huh?

I just recently purchased The Jungle Book on DVD, and I must say that it was worth the mullah. With an audio commentary by notable Disney veterans/film contributors, a healthy supply of bonus material, and a beautifully crisp and restored version of sound and color, it’s worth the pennies.

My sister and I just finished listening to the commentary only a few hours ago, and it was fairly informative and interesting to listen to. A good bout of people probably wouldn’t bother lending an ear to those sorts of features, but I find them to be quite engaging…

Except for the obvious bonus goodies and the like, I mainly bought the DVD for one thing… sighs (snigger)

So yeah. It’s a Disney film to add to your already overflowing collection of Disney merchandise. Feel free to take a peek at it if you have the time (and the dough)!

– Mitch

Oh I still have yet to see the DVD version of Jungle Book Mitch. If you say that it is worth it, I’ll go give it a check out then.
