Do you think ts3 will suffer the wall e effect?

that some day ts3 will not being recongnized as a masterpiece anymore, but just another kiddie film, like wall e?

No, because it has the Toy Story series to fall back on. Besides, seeing as MANY adults saw it, there shouldn’t be that much of a broblem.

Wall-e morphed into a kiddy movie since its release? I didn’t get that memo.

Neither did I.

Explain yourself, OP.

When wall e came out everyone was praising how adult and tearjeker the movie was, but now people say is just a boring kiddie movie

Seeing how everybody is praising TS3 now, do you think some day in the future people will look back and think toy story 3 is just a stupid movie about toys?

I hope not no Pixar movie deserves that :frowning:

Again, who are these people? I’ve seen Wall-e faulted for being too preachy and/or environmentally concerned, but kiddy was never part of the equation.

Anyone who says Wall-E (Or any Pixar movie in that matter) is a kiddie movie is just ignorant and needs to grow up. They’re FAMILY movies, not “kiddie” movies.

I’m pretty sure almost no one thinks Wall-E is a child’s film. Heck, it’s too serious for most adults!

I doubt it, though. I think TS3 will be this big with ll ages until after we all die.

People hasn’t lowered their perception of WALL·E. Maybe among your circle, but certainly not in the mainstream.

On the contrary, I think all these movie will be regarded as even better in the future. It happens a lot.

I agree with lord_zedd about the Wall-E case, (at least in my “circle”), and personally Toy Story’s fate is undetermined. If it wins Best Picture then people might consider it as a truly serious film, if not…it’s just like you’ve said.

Well, a lot of teenagers dislike it, or think it beneath them, but they’re teenagers. If you take your average teenager seriously, you’re either selling something, or stupid.

^ That’s exactly what I mean. I don’t hear that kind of complaints because I’m older than most and I’m always among people my age. And, in the web, I’m not at forums (except for this one 8D), but in movie-specialized web pages, that take Pixar movies seriously.

Among those, circles, Pixar tends to be GOD. Don’t listen to stubborn people, guys :stuck_out_tongue:

:frowning:

People here already see it as a kid movie. Eh people are just to insicure to say they like a movie that other people think is a kid movie (its a whole complicated cycle) so they call it a kid movie.
Ya in my house hold i have to hide my movies from my younger siblings >> they scrack them to high hell! When i rented Toy Story 3 my mother was griping after one day because i hadnt seen it yet, but that was because my brothers had been watching it -.- I’m sorry but i have to watch Disney movies either alone or with close friends or family only because other wise i have to deal with annoying critasism. And when i watch Disney movies my true self shows because i will Sob for something sad and i will Laugh for something funny or cute. Whatever the character is feeling I feel. Most people can’t handle me like that because they get annoyed or embarased.
Part of the reason i love my aunt is because we can watch movies together and no matter what we always think its a wonderful movie. We watched Enchanted out of state and right after we went to Wal-Mart and the rest of the trip home we listened to the soundtrack. The next time i went to see the movie i was singing along perfectly and getting weird looks for it. YD
I don’t really care what people say about Disney movies anymore. Yes i will defend them but i don’t let it change my thoughts. Toy Story was very touching to me because I’m about to go to college and i’m scared. Hella scared. Well Toy Story helped me with that; i know i’ll never ever give my child side up. ^^ and i know that i sooooo love Buzz Y3

Wow. It must be really difficult to be a teenager Pixar fan :frowning:

I’m 21 and I don’t have to hide my fandom for the word, luckily, becuase my fellow mates know it’s not a kiddie thing. Besides, I’m making a serious thesis in animation, and people don’t think it’s weird.

In Ireland all teenagers love the movie. Just saying.

Very well spoken, khstar. I have similar situations as well. But I’m lucky enough that most other teenagers I know “get” Toy Story and the rest of Pixar’s films, and know that they arn’t just aimed at little kids. You said it perfectly.

Spirit of Advenure, it’s difficult becasue it’s that bridge between being a “Kid” and “Oh, they like it because it’s a Disney Cartoon” and being an “Adult” with “Oh, they like it because they are movie people”. That’s where the “Teenagers that think it’s beneth them” come in. Nobody else I know in my age group buys Toys, but I do. I’m just strange that way. I don’t let it bother me, but I don’t ussually run around talking about it. Some people get it, some people don’t.

If someone doesn’t want to watch Toy Story, or Monsters Inc., or WALL-E because it’s a “Little kid’s movie” then they don’t know what they’re missing. I guess I’m just fortunate in my area that most people my age grew up with Toy Story and realize how special it really is.

^ You said it

I haven’t lost my hopes, because there are still enough intelligent teenagers like you guys. Keep going. Once you cross the bridge, it will get much better.

Exactly, SoA. You get my point.

I’m not attacking teenagers here, as most of you guys are animation fans(um duh?). Kids scrutinize me and call me a little kid, and [spoil]question my sexuality[/spoil] because of my passion for animation. Wall-E is not a kid movie, and nobody but self concious, ignorant, “normal” teenagers and young adults(if you call them adults) thinks it is. We’re all film fans here, because we know what’s up. Most people don’t know what they’re talking about, and that’s just a fact of life that I have yet to come to terms with.
