Does any one know what type of Car Lighting McQueen is?

Does any one know what type of Car Lighting McQueen is?

  1. This

should go in the Cars section.
2. According to Pixar, he’s an amalgamation of different cars for stock

racing, endurance racing and general sports cars. His model doesn’t exist in the real world.

Sorry!!!

Yes, Lightning was a mix of differenct race cars.

However, when he was repainted by

Ramone, it was striking how much Lightning looked like a vintage Corvette, like the one used in the original

“Route 66” television show. I don’t think that resemblance was an accident.

I have always thought of McQueen as some kind of Corvette. Both because of the repaint by Ramone as route66news

pointed out, but also because of the scene where McQueen and Sally are at the top of the mountain by "…

Wheel" (I don’t remember the orignal English name of the place); McQueen asks Sally why she decided to stay

at Radiator Springs and she replies because she fell in love and McQueen then says “Oh, Corvette?”

I thought

Lightning asked as though she’s the type of girl to fall for a 'Vette, not a guy like him, as though he wasn’t

a Corvette.

However, I don’t know enough about cars to be able to figure out what kind of car Lightning

is…

… and I believe it’s called the “Wheel Well Motel”… or it could be hotel… I need to

watch it again.

Is he a made up car?

TLP- Yeah I think Lightning is a made up Car

That’s pretty much your

answer: His design is Fictitious, and doesn’t exist in the real world.

@Edna: I love that

Incredicar!

Thinks

RSM!

Lightning McQueen is a rookie racecar.

You know, I just stumbled on to this topic. The first thing that came to

me was he obvious. He is a race car! Just look at the Nascar cars. Should they look similar? As I read more into

this topic, I began to wonder what model was he built from! I love this topic.

He is obvioulsy a made up car. He looks nothing like NASCAR stock cars. I think

the 2 main influences are the old 1963 Corvette that his Cruisin and final paint jobs are inspired by, and the

Dodge Viper. Now I’m not talking the old VIper that’s been around a while I’m talking the body style that has

been out for about 2 years or so.

I really see it in the

headlights and the grille area as well as the rear deck and fenders.

Maybe a sprinkle of Shelby CObra coupe in there

too…

I don’t know if those look like parts of him.

I think if you can combine parts

of the Corvette, Shelby Cobra, and the Viper, mix it all together, add a little bit of race car material, and you

would probably get something like Lightning.

Schilly -

I can definetly see lightning as that car . It’s the back . he way it curves . I should know since I drew

Lightning as a side view and i could see that curve and the tail thing .

Sorry , I don’t know car parts

that much !

He is definitely (or portraying) a

NASCAR.
