Does Buzzs friends from the cartoon exist in the Toy story universe?
I have always wondered the same thing myself since I grew up with the show, and if they did it could only be as toys. When I think about the show by now in relation to Pixar I get the idea that they tend to ignore that it was made as if it was never that important to them, and they had very little involvement with it anyway so to me the show seems more like something Disney wanted to do.
One of the only hints I’ve seen that acknowledges the show and considers it canon is in one of the newer Toy Story comics where they show Andy playing with Booster:
While amusing, the comics are about as canon as the Toy Story Treats. There’s no reference to them, and no toys ever appear in Toy Story 3.
That being said, there’s no clear answer. In the original show that Buzz would be in in Toy Story, it consists of him and his battles against Zurg. No reference to any partners or anything, besides, wouldn’t he try to seek them out once he “crash landed” in Andy’s room?
On the other hand, they could very well exist, since Pixar let Disney make this cartoon with the intention that it would fill us in on what kind of show he came from. Needless to say, it was different from Pixar’s original vision, but sure was entertaining.
I liked the show, but I’m pretty sure it’s not canon.
Idk it would be cool if Pixar did a short and made Buzz meet them.Plus i want to see how they would look Three Dimensional.My favorite one from the cartoon is that robot i cant remember the name been a while since ive seen it i liked the robot and the big red guy.

I don’t see any reason why not. I’m sure there’s Star command toys besides Buzz at Al’s Toy Barn.
They actually had a little statue of Booster on the wall of the shop of the Buzz Lightyear ride at Disney World, but they removed it. They still have the Commander on the wall, though. 
I think Buzz’s show could be just like Woody’s Round Up like how they have the main characters as toys for woody’s round up theres Woody Jessie Bullseye and Prospector for Buzz’s Show they would have Buzz XR Booster and Mira
BTW, I have toys of XR and Booster (XR, I think, came from a happy meal).
