Well, I am a little confused at this. I don’t know who to believe.
When you look up THX on youtube or on
filesharing networks (not that I use them…)
, then it always has Pixar THX trailer or something along
those lines, basically tieing Pixar in with THX.
And if you haven’t noticed those lovely deep note
trailers also appear on well, all of the Pixar DVD’s too. (apart from early Toy Story’s)
So does anyone
know the real story. Thanks.
I’m quoting this directly from
THX.com:
THX also has created a key art campaign featuring the company mascot
“Tex,” the beer-bellied 3-D robot created by Pixar Animation Studios. Tex will be the central figure in
5,000 lobby posters, 900,000 postcards and 50,000 buttons and training brochures, which were created especially
for cinema staffs "to help them understand how a certified cinema is constructed and what differentiates it
from other cinemas," a company representative said.
Here’s the entire
article:

Oh right thanks, but I was actually referring to their
other ones not featuring the 3d guy, just like, this for
example.
