Donald Trump possibly running for President in 2012

I’m sure you’ve all heard by now that Donald Trump has seriously been considering running for President of the United States in 2012.

A website has been launched: shouldtrumprun.com/

The video interview on the right side with George Stephanopoulos is interesting, to say the least.

Wow, really? I don’t think I could take him seriously as president, lol. I can’t wait to learn more.

Why? No offense, but this guy is one of those people who just makes the Republican Party look like a bunch of rich, spoiled snobs. I really dislike him.

Edited by Bill: Choose your words carefully; do not use language.

I am not ashamed to admit that I have a great deal of respect for Trump. At the heart of it, at least in my view, he is a strong businessman, who makes good decisions for the most part, but is also a good man.

He said in the interview with George that he will make a decision in June. If he does run, I’ll be keeping an eye on him.

The poll conducted by the site has been completed. It’s pretty much even-sided:

Should Donald Trump enter the 2012 presidential race?

Yes (67%, 19,581 votes)

No (33%, 9,521 votes)

Would you vote for Donald Trump in 2012?

Yes (66%, 19,562 votes)

No (34%, 10,005 votes)

Sorry. I didn’t know that word was bad.

Anyway, I see your points. I just feel differently.

Donald Trump as president? NO! Me as president? Oh, yeah! I can see it now… Oh, wait, never mind, I wouldn’t get to hang out on the computer 24/7 if I was president.

LOL.

I would vote Trump for president. I respect him, and I like The Apprentice.

I have no opinion until I know where he stands on issues such as health care, immigration, environment, abortion, and homosexual rights.

Well, I’ll be able to vote for the first time in 2012, and I don’t see myself voting for Trump, if he does indeed run. But, agreed, let’s see what his stances are first.

OMG. If he won, I would have to put Donald Trump on my website on the presidents page. Wow. That would be weird.

I’ll just copy from the other thread.

Anyway, I wasn’t fair earlier. I judged Trump based on his extramarital affairs, which is irrelevant to politics. I’ve read about him, and seen his show, and grown to kind of appreciate him. He’s a self-made man, and that’s hard to come by these days.

Besides, either way, he’s better than Sarah Palin. At least he’s not a radical extremist.

I thought you liked Palin?

I used to like her. For being a female Conservative, but as soon as she started “sharing” her ideas, I was done. :open_mouth:

Someone clue me in who’s trump and what’s his party?

He’s Republican, and he’s a multimillionaire and the owner of his own company. That’s all I can say. 8D

And he is known for the phrase, “You’re fired.”

I’m not sure how I feel about this. Granted, I don’t know too much about the man but I don’t know if I could take him seriously as a president.

I don’t know much either. My dad likes him, he has a TV show, and really bad hair. That’s where my knowledge ends.

A guy against same gender marriage? Pro-Life? Part of the Birther movement?

Ugh, no thanks.

Besides, we (well, I at least) don’t have to worry about him being our next president. On May 16, 2011, Trump announced he would not run for president.

What is the Birther movement? :open_mouth:

Seriously … what a joke. It’s a good thing he didn’t proceed because it would have taken votes away from REAL QUALIFIED candidates. Honestly, he would have driven this great country into a worse state.
