Has anyone here heard of a book called Drawn to Life? It came out fairly recently, and it is essentially a collection of handouts and lectures given by Walt Stanchfield, the man who taught the Disney Animators in a weekly class during the Disney Renaissance.
The book is simply amazing. Stanchfield must have been one of the greatest teachers ever, because he explains things so unbelievably clearly. It’s a great guide for anyone looking to improve gesture drawing, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking into going into the animation field, especially animators and story artists. I can tell now this is a book I will be checking for my entire career.
