Dream Pixar Job

Rotflmao

I to become a director their, cuz I have two story ideas that I’m dying to tell the world! :stuck_out_tongue: , but first maybe a story artist or production designer.

I’d have to be a story writer. Writing is my passion! But if I had to chose another career, character or storyboard artist.

Boy, that’s a tough one! I LOVE to write but I also LOVE to draw. Hm… I’d have to think hard! I guess I should get my experience in both areas now before it comes time to decide.

Ka-chow! :whip:

Animator all the way!! I can only do stop-motion right now, but I hope to become an animator at either Pixar or ILM

 Well, for a start, just going to Pixar would be a dream come true, let alone working there… but my dream job would be a graphic designer as I love being creative.
However I love to draw too…

You know, it’s funny because as a kid I always wanted to be an animator at Pixar. People who pursue that profession have all my respect because it’s not a dream I can personally chase and it takes a lot of guts and dedication. More recently I’ve found that I like the idea of being an animator at Pixar more than actually working as an animator there. I just don’t have the proper skills and drive for that particular career.

I did realize something though. I like the idea of selling Pixar, if you know what I mean, more than making their product. That’s why my dream has shifted and now I’m pretty set on my goal of working with Pixar Publicity. The blog has helped a lot in making some of my dreams a reality and I’m hoping I can push this as much as I can.

I want to be in the software part, or crowd simulation.

I plan on getting a compsci degree and focusing on computer graphics, and I want to be able to work at Pixar helping develop new software and tools to make the movies even more beautiful and easier to produce.

i could be happy with just about any job at Pixar… haha. art and computers are my two favoritest things.

Story Artist  I couldn’t decide between animator or story writer so I decided to choose the middle option  It’s like the best of both worlds!

I would like to be an animator or character designer. Or if I ever get over my quietness, maybe a storyboard artist. But I’ve wanted to a direct a movie ever since I was little. I’d be lucky just to be there though.

I’d take any job to work at Pixar.

Being the cashier at the gift shop or server at Cafe Luxo would be an honor!
I would take any job at Pixar!

I would probably most likely want to be a voice actress/over or work in the crew that represents Pixar in the Disney Parks. Or in the humanities department. I’m not creative or talented enough to be an animator!

I would want to direct, but that’s only wishful thinking.

I’d love to start as an animator and hopefully work my way up to director one day. I have such an interest in all aspects (storyboarding, character design etc) but don’t have the skills to cross all of those but would love to play a part. But I think just being there would be enough

Although as I also like ‘dark’/‘adult’ films/tv too (as in stuff like Dexter, Akira etc) I get the feeling I’d have to explore those first and then go to Pixar. Once I’m there I get the feeling I’d never want to leave :stuck_out_tongue:

Scratch that. I’ve discovered quite recently that drawing storyboard for 8 hours is NOT something I can handle.
Film editing, on the other hand, will do much better for me.
It’s what Lee Unkrich started as I believe, didn’t take him too long to become a director.
Plus you get to work with the director when you edit.

I would like to be a Env. and Char. modeler… even they will give me less money than most of the games companies. Its Paradox, they make a millions and they will give you a crap  I only hope, that whole team has some percentage from sale. Especially in San Francisco area, which is very expensive. Its nice to have a name “Pixar” in your Resume, but be poor, dont know guys… its not a good life and be in stress everyday, this cost some health problems

Work on commercials gives you more money, than they offer

The position of “Prep Cook” was recently added to Pixar’s Job Oppurtunity page. I told my friend who is looking for a job, and she’s going to apply!

Pixar is about an hour and half drive from our town, and my friend has all of the qualifications listed to apply. She’s worked in a catering company recently and was in Culinary Arts with me in HIgh School.

So I hope she gets it! Maybe that’s my Pixar Dream job,a prep cook. I love cooking and I have a job as a waitress. I would get to work at Pixar and be able to use the gift shop and take classes at Pixar University. That would be perfect because I dont’ have enough talent or patience to be an animator!

I would LOVE to be a story artist at Pixar! It’s no secret of mine…just ask anyone who knows me well!
I would like any job that would involve the story department at Pixar - working out story ideas, collaborating with other writers, discussing ideas, making the films! I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to be part of one of the GREAT stories from Pixar…it would be an honor!

I have a rough idea about how I can apply for the job, but I’m just not sure if it will be sucessful. I know deep down in my heart that I’m being called to work for the story department at Pixar, but I’m not exactly sure how to go about it in the “right” way. Does anybody have any links or contacts or someone I can talk to? I’m still a college student, so I’m trying to continue school until I reach my junior year so I can apply for an internship at Pixar.

Can anyone help?

Blessed light

I have sent you PM… let me know.

Promotional Technical Engineer, or whatever the guys who built that Full Sized WALL•E robot and the flying Up house are called. Or an Imagineer who’s on extremely friendly terms with PIXAR.
