English Variations [US/UK/Etc...]

it took me awhile to understand northern british accents - like from liverpool, manchester, etc but after awhile i got used to them. scottish, however, it’s STILL hard for me to get. but when i was there, a few scots told me they couldn’t understand my american accent! anybody else ever get that or can’t understand our accents?

Rarely, only if you have a strong one.
Do you understand yorkshire Coco?

I have to admit, I don’t understand Scottish accents either. A friend of mine wants to go to university in Scotland, and the only thing that’s worrying her is that she won’t be able to understand what anyone is saying!

The only Brit accent I really like is Irish. It always sounds so cheeky.

well that’s where the american acent comes from. They still don’t have the “th” sound though.

so Three becomes Tree
Birth becomes Birt
Thousand become Tousand, etc.
