If this belongs in the “Who wants a Toy Story 4 and 5?” thread, I will move it there. Do you think Lee’s serious or is he joking?

Toy Story 4: Adventures of Trixie and Mrs. Potato Head
I guess it all depends on what the film will bring. If it is satisfying all the way through (spectacular ending included), I probably won’t be wanting another one. A Toy Story movie has never been made with a sequel already in mind, and once it comes to the money, they might be taking the same road as DreamWorks. But I’m getting ahead of myself, maybe the ending really does definately cap it off. You can’t really go much further without alienating the audience, too.
… no. I think they should leave it at 3 and work on sequels for other films. 3 is plenty.
“We continued by asking the veteran actress if she was looking forward to returning to the franchise for a forth film?”
They spelt fourth wrong. Huh…
The quote from Unkrich seems pretty authentic though. Perhaps he was referencing work from Pixar Canada on future Toy Sotry toons?
I think this article was fake though. The spelling error just seems so… unauthentic, and Pixar is usually pretty tight on releasing information about future films.
At first (Over a year ago) I thought a third movie was pushing it… But now I am of course excited for Toy Story 3. I think three is a good number to end the series with. Let Toy Story be among the greatest trilogies ever created.
As a fan of Pixar and Toy Story films - I’m sure a lot of us can agree with what I’m going to say - but I’d hate to see some of my favorite film series getting milked to death. Even if that isn’t in Pixar’s intentions, and even if a fourth film would turn out to be good, I just think all good things should come to an end. I hope Toy Story 3 wraps up the series good enough to leave fans with a lasting impression rather than leaving cliff hangers for a sequel.
It won’t happen. The ending pretty much wraps up everything. Every conflict and issue is dealt with. A fourth one would be waaay pushing it. I do think the Toy Story Toons are a good idea, though, so that they can still have fun with the characters without having to create a whole new continuation.
I don’t think Pixar would ruin a perfect trilogy like that…Of course, these are the same people giving us Monsters, Inc. 2.
As much as I like wonderful things to never end, I think Toy Story 4 would be too much for Pixar.
Pixar has a keen sense of balance. Their movies have never been too much or too little of anything, everything’s been perfect.
Making a 4th movie would be “too much”, most likely.
MI and Cars 2 are better ideas right now , i think. and several of my friends who have seen early showings of TS3 say that it’s “wonderful at it is. Anymore would ruin it”
Even if the article is true, I don’t see how these declaration hint a fourth movie.
Mrs. Harris words just represent her owns aspirations, and was evident she wasn’t talking in Pixar’s name.
About Lee’s declarations, I think they are true. We’ll see the toys again, but not in a fourth film.
I agree that what Lee says hints to some Toy Story shorts, but not necessarily a fourth film. Estelle Harris seems to be getting ahead of herself a bit, and as others here have said, a fourth film would really be pushing it. Then again, I think they’re pushing it with a Monsters, Inc. 2 and Cars 2, so who knows? It’s just that a Toy Story 4 would really be crossing the line, in my opinion, especially if what Bryko says is right, that the third one really wraps things up well.
My thoughts about Lee’s comments are that they probably had a lot of fun setting up the intro sequence to TS3, and they probably have several similar ideas in mind for shorts (I won’t say more in case some haven’t figured it out yet, or don’t want to be spoiled).
I would love to see a short about the toys who aren’t in TS3. [spoil]Bo Peep, RC, Rocky etc[/spoil]
There’s always Kingdom Hearts, if Square-Enix allows Pixar elements now that Disney distributes its Pixar games.
TS3 is good for me .
To my feeling, if Pixar makes a 4th. Well it’s the same track as what Dreamworks is taking, making a Shrek 4, also even Madagascar 3 (Which is fine by me, they had to finish they series of Madagascar films) and Kung Fu Panda 2. Also with Pixar, Cars 2 and Monsters Inc 2. I guess the future is sequels .
And I agree Cars 2 in the sequel, would have to draw DVD with the chapters I do not know Toons.Yo Cars, Monsters inc 2 Although the hope with many nerves, is my favorite movie from Pixar (Monsters Inc.)
While Toy Story Toy Story would be better Toons.
Although I trust I Pixar, Pixar I think I know what it does.

So, what you’re saying is he’s signed for a TS4, but that doesn’t mean there will be a TS4? WHA???
Yes, sometimes actors sign up for sequels just in case. That doesn’t mean nothing.
Allen signing on to a forth, er FOURTH movie goes to show that Pixar is always open to ideas, but doesn’t mean they’ll actually do it. I think that this means that they’re going to keep the door open, because there are possibilities.
I think that that’s what Lee meant, that at we will be seeing the characters in the future. In both the Disney parks and in Toy Story Toons.
