EVE

Can please someone clear this up for me. I’m confused.

In the International Trailer we saw a huge robot coming down to earth, which WALL-E follows because he’s in love with her. That is EVE.

But in the newest pictures, like in the Memory Card Game or in the Press Release of Disney Germany, we see EVE as a white, egg-like robot which is about the same size as WALL-E.

And on the ART OF WALL-E we see this little eggy thing with no eyes.

I’m SO confused.

This thread may also be used for alternate discussions about EVE.

Thank you very much,

Groaning

EVE is the egglike robot. If you had a chance to watch the leaked tradeshow promo, you saw a clip of her springing to life from her dormant pod form and then test animation of her hovering between big blocks.

So the white thing on the Art of WALL•E cover is EVE inactive. The “huge robot” from the trailer is undoubtedly the Axiom.

~~=oP

The big spaceship is EVE’s pod, her mode of transportation to Earth. The “egg” or “iPod” looking thing is EVE herself. In The Art of WALL-E, EVE is in her closed mode, in all other occassions, she is open. Her arms and head float around her body and her eyes are LED lights.
Edit: WOW! Me and PV answered 3 minutes apart.
Edit 2: PV- The spaceship isn’t the Axiom. The Axiom is much bigger and shaped like a cruise.

[spoil]EVE is the white floating robot. EVE came down to Earth circa 2700 in the year of our Lord to check on Earth to see how the WALL•E robots (or robot) have been doing. The ship in the trailer is the ship EVE came in. This ship was sent out by the AXIOM, which is where all of humanity has been temporarily moved. WALL•E hitches a ride on EVE’s ship to the AXIOM, and the rest is history…or the future.[/spoil]

Thanks for clearing that up A113!
The main differences between the two ships are:

  1. Eve’s is a small surveyer pod, while the Axiom is a large cruise (space) ship, it is so large it wouldve crushed WALL-E. EVE’s pod (or shuttle) is feeble in comparison.
  2. The Axiom SENT OUT the pod to EARTH, not the Axiom itself.
  3. The Axiom holds thousands, or millions of people. EVE’s pod only holds one…robot.
  4. The Axiom doesn’t look like it’s equiped to land while EVE’s pod has three legs and thrusters for easy landing.
    Now look at these pics:

And watch the trailer, note the huge disimilarities.

Nobody needs to explain EVE again. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d just like to point out, for a pod, EVE’s pod is pretty darn big. About the size of a Semi-Trailer at least I think.

A bit offtopic sidenote…

Probably just a coincidence in the naming, but in Hollywood there are 3 major independent payroll companies that process the payroll and send out checks to everyone who works on a movie: Entertainment Partners, Cast & Crew, and Axiom.

(And actually, a few weeks ago Axiom suddenly went bankrupt with no warning – leaving everyone working on projects where Axiom was the payroll company without getting their checks, as the money that was supposed to be sent to everyone is now tied up in the bankruptcy).

Hopefully the Wall-E “Axiom” is in better shape!

I guess it’s about time I preordered the Art of Wall-E…
