I heard on an old Toy Story fact site that there was a face that appears when Buzz opens his burger box to say “sorry” to Woody after bumping into him. Can anyone confirm this, hopefully with some HQ stills.
Wow, I never realised that you could see Buzz inside the burger box before. Thanks for the screenshot, Flik-E. I can’t quite work out how he’s managing to open the box though, as his arms both seem to be down by his side, probably carrying the base of the box, with nothing to lift the lid.
He looks to be bending down so you can’t tell. How an Buzz even fit in it, it must be a huge burger.
What was even more of a question to me now is why they had burgers at Pizza Planet anyway. I know they had them in one of the levels of the Toy Story video game so you wouldn’t think they’d be in the actual film, but they were.
well it is a super Nova Burger…
yeah, it must be a big burger…buzz stands 12 inches and is bent forward, i wish i had my buzz with me to estimate the burger box size.
So I guess that’s what it was, thanks. Given the vague rumor, I didn’t quite know what they meant (I was half expecting some kind of optical illusion where you’d see a large face being formed by shadows or something).
It’s kinda like how Burger King sells fries. Though, I still can’t tell what that ice cream-like thing in the videa game was.
So, you don’t remember if they were referring to something other than Buzz’s face showing up? I’m sure they probably were just referring to this cause it doesn’t look like the type of shot to have anything hidden in it (like how Disney would have their Hidden Mickeys).
You mean those Alien Slime slushie machines?
No, there were these weird things that sorta looked like ice cream cones at Pizza Planet in the video game, but they were really tall.
Anyways, here’s the original accounts of the siting:
Here’s the site as well (this stuff is ancient):

And on the topic of hidden Mickeys:

I’ve watched that sequence several times frame by frame, and I see no unusual “face”. Besides, when you look at that page, that claim has never been confirmed by anyone in the nine years that it has been there.
That’s what I assumed you meant when I logged in this morning and there were only the first two posts in this thread. I spent ages staring at that image trying to work it out. Boy, do I feel silly.
Well, I guess this one was a bunch of baloney, but I’m just intrigued by secrets still being discovered in a 15 year old movie. Though, I’m not even going to try with the “hidden Mickeys” because any three circles together could be considered Mickey.
Haha, av never seen that before, it’s always shown proper quickly.
