I’ve only seen Fantasia 2000 once so I can’t remember much of it, but I do remember enjoying the Rhapsody in Blue bit since I’m a big fan of Gershwin. This film is NOTHING compared to the beautifully animated Fantasia, but you know… sequels happen, and this was well made.
Rhapsody in Blue is my favorite - especially after going to NYC and coming back to watch that one … and going “Oh that PERFECTLY describes NYC!” – plus it’s already a fantastic song to listen to.
But I do love the flamingos too – I even had a stuffed animation of that flamingo as a kid.
And the IMAX experience was awesome.
Perhaps its just me but I always felt the original Fantasia was way too long and dull for me … but I haven’t watched it in years - it just had a difficult time of keeping my attention … that and the Night on Bald Mountain (right?) scared me out of my pants, I’m sure.
Perhaps I should see it again - but I recall enjoying 2000 much more so.
Got the movie today-but I’m really worried it’s a fake. There’s a spelling error-and probably one or so more-and instead of ‘introduction’ it says ‘instruction’,which I’m pretty sure is wrong. Plus it doesn’t list many special features. I’m going to scan it in right now.
But I’ll watch the movie, and if it’s alright,I’ll say this never happened.
P.S. I started to watch the movie. Below the logo it says ‘OST’ and I can’t acess special features…???
I love this film so much. i liked the first film but it was a bit too long. This one was shorter and was a bit better. Especially the flamingos and Donald in the Noah’s ark story. I loved how they tied the two together aswell with the scene with Mickey Meeting James Levine. Although my cousin got freaked out because of the different mickey voice Wayne Allwine provided to Walt’s in the first.
