Well, umm…I saw a version of 42nd Street at a
local performing arts plaza in my area – I suppose that counts. It was a fantastic
play, actually; made me want to get up and dance…
I’ve wanted to see The Lion
King on Broadway for a long time now, but have never gotten the chance to. Once of these days…I
will!
I have
only seen a couple. BUt man, they are so good. I just absolutely love the songs. Although most of the shows I
have seen are school and community plays. Do they count?
Yeah , they count . That’s how
I saw Les Mis .
You should
check the tour dates , that’s how I see most of my Broadway Shows . Though I am planning to go to New York soon
to see Wicked again ( and I might see it in Boston ) and see if they still have the "behind the emerald
curtain" tour . You get to see behind the scenes of the play and everything !
Surprisingly (and stupidly) I’ve only seen 2 plays. One
when I was five, the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall, and another several years ago, Beauty and the Beast. I
oughta see more, but every time I go to the city it’s usually to get something done or to mess around in Times
Square or China Town (love)
In the summer, I’ll most probably attend any show at Cherry Lane Theatre in
the Village … but that’s Off-Broadway ^^;
I like Wicked, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Gypsy (anything in the 1920s andI’m
sold!) Avenue Q (haven’t seen this one yet, but I love it haha), The Drowsy Chaperone (saw it in NY in Jan -
awesome show, really funny), Hairspray (John Waters is a legend!), The Producers, Rocky Horror… I’ve seen a
lot of stuff put on in amateur productions, like Fame, Grease, La Cage aux Folle (that one was actually really
good)… and I’ve also seen Mamma Mia, Miss Saigon… Cats, stuff I’m not so keen on anymore.
The sad
thing is that I have seen Wicked in Chicago, New York and London XD

I have
only seen a version of Oliver! in Milwaukee, so I don’t know of that counts as a Broadway production.

haha I think most of us are probably
too poor or far away to’ve seen much on Broadway… I know I am!
I like Les Miserables, and
Phantom…I had to go though them both IN FRENCH!!! I’m sure it would’ve been better if I understood it all!

I’ve seen like
four non-broadway operas and plays. My fav would have to be The Phantom of the
Opera…

It was actually playing
in downtown Los Angeles, I believe, sometime last year, but I didn’t get a chance to see it due to a limited
amount of money. Heh. I do check the dates every once in a while though, just to make sure I don’t miss it the
next time it comes around my area…
My favorite broadway musical is Camelot. I love the story and the swords. Lancellot was my favorite
character.
I know The Music Man is a Broadway musical , but I only
got to see the movie . I enjoy the song “Ya Got Trouble” .
Musicals I have done/seen
Lil Abner
Music Man
Les Miserables
Kiss Me
Kate
Annie
Cinderella
Rent
Crazy for You
Grease
Camelot
South Pacific
The closest thing to a Broadway show
that I’ve ever been to is an adaption of a play we were studying in English at school. It was ‘Lady in Black’,
and it was very scary! But that’s about it.
Personally, my favorite Music Man song will have to be “The Sadder but Wiser Girl”.
Just found out that Beauty and the Beast’s last show is July 24 ! I better plan to
see it soon
Aw, but the Cats video is
great! XD
I live for the West End. I saw Cats twice in London, I’ve seen
Phantom a couple of times – once with the great Michael Crawford, I thank you –
Wicked, Grease, and I’m planning a trip this summer to
see a couple more shows.
I saw Beauty and the Beast in Edinburgh and I caught
a touring performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat last year,
which was brilliant.
I’ve always wanted to see Rent – I
adore the soundtrack – but sadly New York is a little out of my budget!
