I think the title pretty much sums up what this thread is about. My favorite childhood memory was seeing TS2 in cinemas back in 1999. To me it’s definitly something very nostalgic to me. I was around four years old at the time and loved watching the original Toy Story film. My aunt took me to see the sequel and since then I loved every film from Pixar. When I saw TS3 last summer and saw all the kids in the theater, I thought to myself “this was me eleven years ago at TS2.” So yeah, that pretty much sums up my favorite memory from my childhood.
If this thread was around a few months ago, I couldn’t tell you because there would be way to many. But after what’s been going on with my family recently, I can pick just one. When I was a kid, my mom and I were flying to Arkansas on Alaska Airline. My dad walked us to the gate and along the way we were like a normal family. They held hands, had pleasent conversation and laughed alot. Before we boarded the plane, they kissed each other goodbye. I wish I we would of had more of that in our lives while I grew up instead of the dysfunction and now disturbing things that now dominated our lives.
I’ve seemed to have a lot of good childhood memories from more mature programming, like Beavis and Butthead and Mystery Science Theater 3000. But I also did have some fond memories of Gumbi, The PowerPuff Girls and a brief watch of TeleTubbies. But I remember them much more fondly from MSTK and Beavis and Butthead, they still make me laugh in two different ways, one in a sophisticated manner and one just by butt jokes and cackling.
