I’ve gone for Garfield, since I don’t know many of the ones on there and Garfield is always funny. There are a few in the daily paper that I read, but it’s a rubbishy newspaper so the comics, aside from Garfield, aren’t very good. The last one rarely makes any sense, and I’ve been tempted to e-mail the guy who does those ones and ask him how he got the job when he clearly has no sense of humour.
Do you mean of garfield do you know what comic you are talking about because i have read all of the garfield comics and i think i know what you are talking about.
Pixart- No, I meant the last one that they have in the newspaper I read. Garfield is one of the good ones, and there are a few other okay comics in that paper, but every day I read this last comic strip (I can’t remember what it’s called, something stupid I expect) and I just never understand it. It’s done in a sort of weird 3D style that doesn’t look good at all.
Garfield. Garfield has always been one of my favorites, along with the Peanuts, Zits, and Family Circus comics. Oh, and, like queen_of_painting, I also love Get Fuzzy. Sherman’s Lagoon is pretty good for a laugh, as well. Above all, though, Garfield takes the cake.
Zits. Far any beyond above all others. Probably because I got into Zits right around the age where all that was going on in it was relevant to me. I was all happy because I was like “Dude, this kid in the comic strip thinks just like me!” And so I stil love it now. I can still totally relate to Jeremy and the dealings with his parents and friends. Pierce especially, is very amusing
I like old-school Garfield, myself. I can’t really comment on the state of the strip today, since I seldom keep up with it. I’m aware that it gets a lot of criticism for being bland and overly-commercial, but throughout the 80s, at least, it was really hilarious stuff. That’s not mere nostalgia speaking on my part - I find I can still flick through my old Garfield compilations and laugh myself silly.
