Favorite DVD extras?

Yes i know Cars isnt out yet but I

just wanna ask what is everybody’s favorite DVD extras? Mine is Monsters Inc because it seems like there are

just loads and loads of them in a never ending spree! Heck, I’m still discovering new stuff on those

discs…

Mine is Monsters Inc. also because as

you said it is pact with extras and allways discovering something new on the DVD’s.

Ditto, it really is

packed!

Same Here. Monsters Inc extras are great. I love the tour of Pixar.

My favorite DVD extras are

everything that is in the Incredibles DVD. Deleted scenes, behind the scenes, extras, everything.

The features on A Bug’s Life are the most fun to watch for me, but I love the Easter

Eggs on the Monsters, Inc. and The Incredibles DVDs. You just have to love the plane contest on Monsters, Inc.

and all the countless Easter Eggs on The Incredibles. Exercise ball + scooter = good times.

 It’s such a pity

that the 2Disc of Monsters Inc isn’t available out here.

Back to topic: The Incredibles! There is

so much great stuff! (A REALLY GOOD Making of, ALternative Beginning…) Making Nemo on the Nemo 2nd Disc is

also great - I watched it yesterday again.

The Incredibles. Why?

Mr. Skiperdoo, of course!

Seriously, there was lots of

background info to the Incredibles universe. I love background info on stuff.

But you

need to get it! Order it off eBay or something!

QFT. I

got 2-disc MI and ABL from Ebay, for the princely sum of ?20 (About $35 US) Go for it. It’s worth your

time.

Making Nemo is pretty good and all, but personally I

think that there isn’t much argument against saying that Nemo disc 2 is the weakest Pixar disc 2 out there.

Well, okay, second-weakest, after the Cars disc 2… :unamused:

Well,

here are my reviews:

The Incredibles: The second-disc bonus features are

awesome, with The Adventures of Mr. Incredible episode generating plenty of laughs

and the superhero files adding to the “cool factor”. This dvd is definitely a must-buy.

Finding Nemo: I agree with DElf4242 on this: The Finding

Nemo bonus features are certainly in short supply. Even the “Making Nemo” featurete

could have been a little longer than it was. However, what the second-disc lacks in quantity it makes up for in

quality; the Jean-Michelle Cousteau documentary and Pixar tour more than make up for the lack of bonus features.

Monsters Inc.: Of course, everyone knows that this pack contains the best

set of Pixar bonus features out there. It has anything and everything: behind-the-scenes, documentaries,

character turn-arounds, etc.!

Toy Story 1 and 2: I would give an A-

rating to these two sets of dvds. They have enough bonus content in them to satisfy me.

A

Bug’s Life: Overall, this film is generally a nice find. With the Geri’s

Game short, the old “Fleebie” reel, and numerous other bonus features to boot, it’s

definitely one to be added to your collection. My one “major” compliment on this dvd is that is

contains some beautiful backrounds along with the main menus.

I

completely agree with you on all of that Mitch, especially with ABL. nods

Well, thank you. bows

It’s too bad that a

Cars two-disc dvd will not be released, at least…not for the present time. I have

half a mind to write to Disney and ask them, “Why?!”. But, I know that they won’t give a definite

answer to that question, so it wouldn’t be worth it to call them anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:

These are my

favorites:

The Excerise Ball plus Scooter – A lovely classic.

An Ode to Buttons and Doors –

Beautiful!!

The First Annual PIXAR Paper Airplane Competition

Phoenician: Oh yes, those are all great, Pheon! (May I call you that?) I love

the Paper Airplane Competition. My sister and I play it every once and a while…just to get a good laugh. The

Pixar tour – on the Monsters Inc. dvd – is great also; my sister and I know it by

heart.

I

really enjoyed the tour as well (especially the Love Lounge and how they note they have Michael Eisner’s

signature in there! )

And yes Mitch, you may call me Pheon (kudos on getting the spelling right - no

one’s managed to do that outside of my “birth forum”!)!

Monsters, Inc. is probably the best organized DVD. It’s

easy to navigate and yet there is always something new whenever you look at it. It has a perfect combination of

behind-the-scenes and stuff for the little monsters.

I’m in love with The Incredibles’ DVD extras, too.

The half-hour featurette on the making of The Incredibles, instead of praising The Incredibles in all its final

glory, praises the film on the hard work that the filmmakers worked on it instead of being a big advertisement.

Mr. Skipperdoo is the funniest piece of film I’ve ever watched.

I have to say, though, Toy Story, A

Bug’s Life, Toy Story 2, and Finding Nemo also have great 2-disk sets. I am very, very disappointed that Cars

DVD will not initially be following in the other Pixar films’ footsteps.

Oh yes, I love

the “Love Lounge”.

Haha – thank you! And I’m glad I spelled it correctly – I’m

surprised no one has managed to spell it right until now.

TheIncredible

 • Very good points there. I agree that the Monsters Inc. dvd is the most

“navigable”, not to mention…it’s overflowing with extra features and what-not.
