The Star Swordsman - How

kind of you to ask.

"Good afternoon, we’re gonna have a great jump today! Ok, grab the harsh

cutback as you hit the wall! There’s a streaming* bottom turn, so watch out. Remember: rip it, roll it, and

punch it!"

  • To tell you the truth, I’m actually not sure about this one, but I know I’m pretty

close. Glad I could help.

I sometimes wonder what he is saying and what he really means. I was too drawn by his

cuteness.

I think it’s

“screaming.” Given their surfer ways, “screaming” makes some sense.

KE - So it was “screaming”! Heh – I wasn’t

sure if he said that or not, so I just took a wild guess.

Thank you. By the way, it’s nice to see you

posting more again, KE. I haven’t seen you around the boards in a while.

Well, I was just like Marlin. I

was very confused of what he said.

Mitch- Well, it has been implied that, possibly,

when they were singing ‘put that thing back where it came from’, Mike might have been talking

about…uhm…like Sulley’s…you know. :stuck_out_tongue: It’s a very loose connection, really, (nowhere near as clear as

when, in this Billiard game, Sulley’s doing a little introduction, and, MY GOD, he’s about as rude as you can

get without actually saying certain words! Seriously!) but now I know about it, I always think about it

whenever I see that scene.

The Star Swordsman - So was I. I had to keep

replaying that particular scene (and turning on the subtitles) to hear what he said.

lizardgirl - Ha! Oh, that’s hilarious. Now I’m gonna be thinking of that

every time I watch that scene. Thanks for making me laugh. (snigger)

Another

classic Nemo quote is probab;y “!50 years old man! And still young!”

Mitch: So that’s what Squirt says!

I thought it was “There’s a screaming pot of dirt” which didnt make any sense to me. I was like, so

he’s warning Marlin to watch out for trash?

Ha ha , i don’t know if anybody said this yet :

" Give me some fin ,

nogin , duuude "

somebody probably did , but i love that quote 'cuz me and CG93 use their handshake

. She’s Crush and i’m squirt since I can do that really high voice .

What about the three WHOAs of Crush? That was a classic laughing line for all in the theater I was in.

" First you were like , ’ woah ’ , and then we were like ’ Woah ! ’ , and

then you were like ’ woaah ’ .

Yes, that was it! I

thought the last one had a “Okay, I am sick” feeling.

All of Crush’s

lines are great. You guys named some of the good ones.

lennonluvr9 - Yep,

that’s what he said! I didn’t understand it the first time either, so I had to cheat and turn on the

subtitles… :stuck_out_tongue:

I love this one, too:

Marlin: "Crush? Really? Ok, Crush, I need to get to

the East Australian Current. EAC."

Crush: "Ahh…dude. You’re riddin’ it, dude! Check it

out!"

How unique how they give each sea creature their own

personalities. The quotes really define them.

The Star Swordsman - Indeed – they also color-coded the young turtles’ shells in

order to distinguish which ones where males and which were females. I believe the males, like Squirt, have

dark-patterned shells, while the females’ shells are more of a lighter, greener color.

Wow, I did not notice that. Then again, most characters are like that. Darker=male, lighter=female.

I know – it’s really cool. And quite a few females

in the animal world are considerably larger than males; however, I don’t think that this holds true for sea

turtles. In any case, it’s a fun fact to know.

There are certain quotes and moments in

Finding Nemo that I absolutely love and find very intriguing. Take the moment when

Nemo tells his father that he hates him. This connects to the time, many years back, when Marlin wondered aloud

whether or not his children would like him or not…

It’s a sad moment, but it connects beautifully to

that particular scene in the film.

And the

fact that dory is taller than Marlin.

Well, Dory

was a completely different kind of fish, so it doesn’t count.

I was referring to males and females of

the same species (ie., a black widow spider is larger than her mate). Other than that, good point.
