:smiley: John Lasseter defo! He’s my all-time hero and is so inspiring. But Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton, Brad Bird, Lee Unkrich, Brad Lewis, Gary Rydstrom, Steve Jobs and Ed Catmull come a very close second- not fogetting Brenda Chapman- the first female Pixar director!! She rocks and shows girl power! All these people are my all-time faves!

This is a toughie! I’m going to have to go with John Lasseter, followed closely by Lee Unkrich. I’m also a huge fan of Brad Bird, but I don’t think he’s working for Pixar anymore.

He’s my favorite director! I really admire his work.

Not only did I enjoy Toy Story 3, I enjoy getting his tweets on twitter! He has a great connection with fans.

Ever since my love of Pixar started, I did as much research as I possibly could about the people who work there ~ the ones behind the creative genius and heart of the studio, and also the ones who have been at Pixar for a very long time who have worked on MANY if not all of the Pixar films and have become part of the magic of Pixar! :slight_smile:
I call these people the “Pillars of Pixar”:

  1. John Lasseter (of course! He started it all!)

  2. Andrew Stanton (one of the greatest and first writers of Pixar)

  3. Pete Docter (another great pillar!)

  4. Joe Ranft (God rest his soul…)

  5. Sharon Callahan (lighting specialist who’s been around FOREVER!)

  6. Bud Luckey (he’s also been around FOREVER!)

  7. Glenn McQueen (once the heart and soul of Pixar’s animation department…)

  8. Lee Unkrich (whoo-hoo!)

  9. Brad Bird (one of the most interseting and amazing writers EVER!)

  10. Jan Pinkava (he’ll always be part of Pixar!)

  11. John Ratzenburger (Pixar’s good-luck charm!)

  12. Eban Obstby

  13. Gary Rystrom

  14. Ed Catmull

  15. John Catmull

  16. Steve Jobs

    All of these people have helped Pixar, ever since from it’s very humble beginnings, to become what it is today…and I’m rooting strong for all of them! :slight_smile:

  2. Pete Docter- He’s my second favourite director, and always writes awesome messages to his fans!

  3. Other Brain Trust Members- They just are the best! Pixar’s Driving Force :laughing:

  4. All other Pixarians- these are the coolest employees EVER. Anyone who persues a career here are worth worshipping.

I’m a Toy Story megafan so my 3 have to relate to that.

  1. John Lasseter (I only have to say his name and it’s reason enough)
  2. The late Joe Ranft (he always had great ideas, he always smiled and voiced brilliant characters, I still have my Wheezy plushie and I will always hold on to it for my love of the character and the man behind it)
  3. Andrew Stanton (I love Wall-E and I also have to thank him or voicing Zurg)
