Favorite Pixarian?

I checked the forums to see if there was already a thread about this, but I was suprised there already is’nt one. ;-o  Anyway who’s you’re favorite Pixarian. Mine is Andrew Stanton, Pete Doctor, and John Lasseter. Pretty common answear.

I’d have to say my favorite Pixarians are Andrew Stanton, John Lasseter, and Stephen Schaffer, but I’d love to meet anybody at pixar.

I believe my favorite is Brad Bird. he is such an amazing director and a wonderful story teller. He got a unique personality.

Second place would go to Mr. John Ratzenberger.

I have a thang for Pete Docter, but of course I also like the other important Pixarians like Andrew Stanton and John Lasseter. The only Pixarian that’s directed a movie that I’m not too keen on is Brad Bird, though that’s a personality thing more than not liking his directing style.

My favorite Pixarian would have to be Andrew Stanton and John Lassester. Both are a huge inspiration to me. John Lasseter for being a pioneer in 3D animation and not giving up and Andrew Stanton for being tenacious and learning/doing everything he can to do things to the best of his ability; like how he taught himself screenwriting and now he’s an amazing screenwriter in my opinion.

Pete Docter and John Lasseter.

Hmm. I feel as if I can only truthfully answer this question if I’ve actually met a good handful of Pixarians. I’d rather work at Pixar and become familiarized with all of the employees there before I make a fair judgement, and even then… it would probably be difficult to choose!

Well, if I had to pick one, it would have to be… a tie between Brad Bird and Andrew Stanton, since those are the only two people from Pixar that I’ve met. Mr. Bird is an inspirational figure to me, plus… he was… too… too nice. He just was. As for Mr. Stanton, he’s only one of the geekiest guys ever (geeks unite!), has such an imaginative and unique perspective on things, and hosts an awesome smile.

I feel bad for the other Pixarians who are usually left out of the picture, like Bob Peterson, Angus MacLane, Gary Rydstrom, and Mach Kobayashi*. They’re just as cool!

*Kick me in the shins if I misspelled your name, Mr. K.

I would agree. Well kinda’. All of Brad Birds films have been pretty good, or Great. He is a very good director, and he works well with other Pixarians. I guess there’s just something about him.

Based soley on the work they’ve done, I’d have to pick Andrew Stanton, mainly because he’s a story guy, and I’m a story guy.

Without a doubt, John Lasseter. Every time I see him, he’s always so enthusiastic and cheerful. He has tons of charisma, much like the other Pixar directors. It’s refreshing to see such zeal and imagination in the guy who’s responsible for many of my favorite films.

My favorite Pixarians:

  • John Lasseter
  • Andrew Stanton
  • Brad Bird
  • Pete Docter
  • Jonas Rivera
  • Lou Romano
  • Mark Andrews
  • Brad Lewis
  • Dan Scanlon
  • Jerome Ranft
  • Lindsey Collins
  • Gailyn Susman

Umm, I could go on and on. Let’s say I’ve watched enough Pixar podcasts to almost “get to know” these guys.

little chef

Oh gosh, how could I have forgotten Matt Nolte and Dan Lee? They did some of the most amazing character designs for Ratatouille, among other Pixar films…

I’m not sure if I have a single fav, but I am a big fan of John Lasseter and Andrew Stanton

Brad Bird first, because he’s the guy with genius oozing out of his ears.
John Lasseter next, because he started it all.
Everyone else after that.

Hm…I’m obsessed with both Finding Nemo and WALL-E…I wonder who my favorite is…

Mind the bump.

My top favorite Pixarians would have to be John Lasseter and Andrew Stanton. I’m also a big fan of John Ratzenberger, Pete Docter, and Brad Bird.

My favorite would possibly Brad Bird. I love his directing style! I also like Angus MacLane. He seems pretty cool. But I also like John Lasseter…

Well lets have a good hard look at my thoughts… Ok… nothing came out… but for me… It has to be

John Lasseter: The man had to endure the newset (and worst) Cast on BBC’s Blue Peter and came away with a massive smile… And After a 3 month wait I finally have the genius’ autograph… A man whom sees all things as possible… and The Flag bearer for imagination and magical belief that only one man before him had Mr Walt E. Disney

Followed by: Andrew Stanton… For a guy who according to “to Infintity & Beyond” didn’t believe to hold the power he does with a Pen for a Story… The man is nothing but pure gold… Always appearing with a Smile… and Who’s directoral showcases bring tears to the eyes of every viewer I have had the plaseure to watch his movies with…And even as you hear the Laugh of Emperor Zurg… I still hear the voice of Fred! An Actor with a voice of power!

John Ratzenberger could not be left out of this post however… A man who’s voice is missed by most viewers of Pixar Movies… labelled by most of them as the man who played the Pig in Toy Story… and then the Flea in Bugs Life, the Yeti in Monsters Inc, Lightnings Driver in Cars… and that about it… Until you outline all the other roles that without Story would be missed and Pixar’s “Lucky Charm” would be too… and the Man can Dance… albeit not greatly but he can dance!

I haven’t met any of the Pixar staff but I would love to meet any of them. However currently the person I’d most like to meet, and is thus my ‘favourite’, is Andrew Stanton. He’s directed my two absolute favourite Pixar flims, one of which is my favourite film of all time. Plus he seems like a pretty cool (in a geeky way) guy, he looks like the sort of guy you could play Dungeons and Dragons with and have a good time at it…

Also he voices Crush in Finding Nemo, for that he gets my applause.

Brad Bird is like super-awesome. I mean, super-super-super awesome. Besides his directing/writing skills, he’s a pretty good voice talent too, and he seems like a really, really friendly guy. Would do anything to meet him or get his signature.
