Favorite redeemed villain

I like villains who changes sides. Which redeemed villain is your favorite?

I love [spoil]Ken, I loved that he switched sides. I am glad that he stood up to Lotso and protected Barbie and her friends. I love his speech to Lotso’s other henchmen. i like Big Baby, I love that he threw Lotso into the dumpster and blew a raspberry at lotso[spoil][/spoil]

I think probably Mirage or Molt. But this probably goes under the Favorite Villain topic.

I’ll keep this topic alive because it asks for a favorite type of character: one that changes sides.

I like Mirage, but I also thought Ego was epic too.

I agree with TSS, Anton Ego was awesome. I love the flashback scene when he tries Remy’s ratatouille, it’s my favorite part of the movie. Mirage is pretty cool, we can sympathize with her, and Molt is hilarious. I haven’t seen Toy Story 3 yet, but I heard [spoil]there are some redeemed charcaters in that one.[/spoil]

Waternoos is just the opposite… he’s pretending to be nice the whole movie but at the end he shows his real identity!

I love it!

but redeemed…[spoil]i think Ken![/spoil]

Dillinger, I’d put spoiler tags on that.

For me, it’s either [spoil]Big Baby[/spoil] or Ego. I don’t know if Sid counts as being redeemed or just put in his place, but if so, then he’s up there too.

Anton Ego would be my favorite, Molt my second.

Anton Ego, most certainly. He turned out to be a pretty awesome guy in the end! [spoil]Ken [/spoil]and Molt get honorable mentions.

Ego has to be my favourite redeemed villain, as well as being my favourite character in Ratatouille. He’s so lovely and warm at the end, whilst still retaining some of his previous personality, so his change as such is really believable.

As much as [spoil]I love Ken, even at the end of the film I still couldn’t help but feel that he was a bit of a sleezebag, despite his last-minute support of the good guys. But Big Baby’s change was great; you could really see how he was able to overcome Lotso, and that realisation that Lotso had been fooling and controlling him all that time really hit him hard. Despite his appearance, at the end you can really emphathise with him, I found.[/spoil]

Mirage and Anton.

M-O. Ehhh, but that’s really stretching it though. Him and WALL•E were more like adversaries in the beginning than actual villains, but I still found that handshake to be extremely poignant.

In a more direct example, either Sid or The Claw. Sid because he was the one who was driving the garbage truck that brought the toys home. The Claw is another stretch, until you really analyze that in the first film, since it was being controlled by Sid and taking them to the danger zone (his house) it was more threatening. In Toy Story 3, since it was being controlled by the Aliens and saving them from the danger zone, it’s shown in a much more positive light.
