I forgot to mention Gill’s Visual Plan. After watching that, I thought to my self,
“There is no way that plan can go wrong”. Visually, it looks exciting.

Well, i’ve seen Nemo like 1,000 times and my little bro
is cucko for Nemo while I’m cukco for Cars! my favorite sence would be the sence with Crush! he’s so
awsome!
Marlin: Mr. Turtle
Crush: whoa Mr. turtle is my father the name’s Crush
He’s like a
surfer dude from the EAC!
When Dory is speaking whale! I don’t think I’ve ever
cracked up so much in a movie before!
Also this crush scene: “” 'First you were like, ‘whoa’!
And then we were all like,‘whoa’! And then you were like, ‘whoa’ “”
The seagulls 'MINE!
MINE!’
One thing that
always puzzled me was the fact that some people thought that the seagulls were saying “Mike”, in
reference to Mike Wazowski. I kind of see how people could mix that up, but it is still kind of odd. Heck, my dad
didn’t even know what they were really saying…until a few months after the movie came out…
I think they said mine because I go to the beach and I
always see seagulls fighting for food.
The Star Swordsman - Exactly. It’s so obvious in the movie. How
could anyone not get that?
Well, I couldn’t figure it out until one said it by
himself. Besides, it was so funny how they all said it together.
The Star Swordsman - You too, huh? Well…that’s perfectly
alright. No harm done…
And yeah – it’s hilarious. I started cracking up in the theater when I
first heard it. (snigger)
That was the second
funniest thing I laughed at. The first was the farting bird.
The Star Swordsman - Oh yes – the farting bird. How could I have
forgotten that? (snigger)
I believe I laughed the hardest at the part where Dory speaks whale, however.
The funny thing about that was that my sister and I used to do stuff like that all the time as a kid, so it was
almost a little…personal.
The whale
speaking Dory was a little too wierd for me. It work for the little kids, but I didn’t really buy it.
The Star Swordsman - Oh
well, we all love what we love. Perhaps that’s why I enjoy watching that scene so much: because I’m really a
“kid at heart”.
What other scenes from Finding Nemo do you find
amusing, The Star Swordsman? Just curious…
Gill’s Plan
Speading of the Word
Farting bird
Mine, Mine
These are only a
few. I can’t really think of much now.
Spreading the Word made my dad tear up, as did the Fishing Net
Escape sequence. Both are beautifully crafted scenes. Gill’s Plan is
also a wonderful segment within the film; I love the look on Gill’s face when he says, "It’s
foolproof" – the audience can, in a sense, get a feel of his anticipation.
The Fish Net escape was really well, I’ll agree. BUt
what kept me on the edge of my seat was the voice acting. Everything was so intense and they delivered it
perfectly.
The Star
Swordsman - Oh my goodness, yes. The voice acting was beautiful – the timing, the sudden pauses,
the tension: it all fits together in that scene like a jigsaw puzzle. Mr. Brooks did an especially superb job as
Marlin in that particular situation.
My only complaint – (and my mom actually brought this up in the
first place) – is Nemo’s final “pummeling” at the end of the film; here, I am referring to the moment
when Nemo gets clobbered by the many fish in the net…after the net snaps free. Nemo already went through alot
of trials and tests – did he really need to get wounded one last time?
Just my thoughts. Heheh.
I never thought he got pummeled by the fish.
I thought that he was swimming down and he hit the surface rather hard. I also thought he was exhausted from all
of the swimming.
Really?
Hmm…interesting. I always thought that the fish landed on top of the poor kid, and the weight of them
altogether “smashed” Nemo into the sand. He was tangled up in the net when Marlin swam down to
“rescue” him, anyway. Thank goodness the sand was soft.
I agree, though. He was probably
extremely tired from all of the swimming. Tough kid – heheh.
The thing is, nobody sees Nemo when the net falls to the ground. And we were
all so distracted with the success, we forgot about Nemo.
Mmm…yes. That is true.
I did look everywhere
for the kid myself when that particular scene was played on the screen. I didn’t see him at all; thus, your
comment stays factual. (heheh)
