I love Jack-Jack attack because I just love seeing Kari
getting pushed around by the baby. I also get to see what else can Jack-Jack do besides transforming

For some
reason, I actually prefer shorts that are not based on any of their feature-length movies…I like the idea of
them kind of being a movie in their own right.
One Man Band is my favourite
without a doubt! It was really funny and whimsical. It definitely blew me away once I saw it.
My favorite short was(And still is) For the Birds. Jack-Jack Attack was good too.
I love “Boundin’” the best. "Now in this
world of ups and downs, so nice to know there are jackalopes around."
Closely followed by Luxo Jr,
Red’s Dream, Tin Toy, Knick Knack, Geri’s Game, For The Birds, One Man Band…
My top three are “Geri’s Game,” “For The Birds,” and "One Man
Band." It gets difficult to put those three in an order of favorite to least favorite, but after that it’d
most likely be “Knick Knack,” “Luxo, Jr.,” “The Adventures of Andr? & Wally B.”
(even though I’ve only seen as much of it as you can on the Pixar site), and “Boundin’” last. I
haven’t watched the preview clips of “Red’s Dream” or “Tin Toy,” seeing as I think they
have a bit more of a story to them than “Andr? & Wally” does and I doubt the preview would do them
justice.
“Geri’s Game” I love because of the brilliance of how it gets to the point where
you’re not really even sure whether it’s just Geri or two Geris. “For The Birds”… I dunno, during
school I’d probably be able to articulate more specifically why I love it so much, but at the moment all I can
say is that it’s really funny and a great piece. For “One Man Band,” I just couldn’t help but be
awed by how seamlessly the music and the story meshed; Michael Giacchino really outdid himself with that score.
And of course it was funny; they’re fighting over one coin, yet they were able to afford contraptions like
that?
Tin Toy, which like…no one has seen. ![]()
I saw it!! I saw it on the Toy Story Golden Edition VHS . . . and it’s also on the Ultimate
Toy Box DVD!!
It’s actually very good, and the early inspirations OF Toy
Story!
Oh carp - I
already posted that didn’t I? Gah.
Happiness!
I like One Man Band,
Boundin’, and For the Birds. But they’re all really good. I’ve seen Tin Toy and it’s good except the baby is
scary. You can see some improvement in Pixar’s people-making-skills when you look at that baby.
Tin Toy is actually viewable in its entirety (though
poor quality) at YouTube.
Yeah, the baby
was scary…and it’s nappy looked completely solid, lol.
I
loved the fact that the music was done my Michael Giachinno in One Man Band.
Yeah, it
appears that they soon gave up on trying to make it TOO Human . . . because then it gets scary. (Polar Express is
another example of this, IMO)
Polar Express was a poor pitiful attempt to cash in on CG movie success.
Polar Express wasn’t that bad a movie. It was quite enjoyable, from what I
heard from my friends.
My mum fell asleep in it was
‘supposedly’ that boring, and it didn’t look too exciting in the trailers. It didn’t look funny at all
either.
I had the (mis)pleasure to actually watch Polar Express.
It did absolutely nothing for anybody in my living room. It didn’t seem funny or exciting or anything.
Yeah, it just looked like, a movie. It wasn’t
appealing to anyone, it just simply was a story about nothing in particular. LOL.
My fav short would be Jack Jack
