Favorite short?

When it comes to favorite Pixar shorts, there should be 2 categories: original and movie-based.

My favorite original short is Knick Knack. Even though it was created before Pixar was a well known company to the public, it is well animated and has a hilarious and contagious acapella track. I can’t stop singing it once I’ve watched it.

My favorite movie-based short (even though there have only been 2 so far) is Jack-Jack Attack. I love the idea of showing us what happened to Kari and Jack-Jack while the family was away from home. And even though no one would ever believe Kari’s seemingly crazy story, Rick Dicker, the only person who would, decides he has to erase her memory. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/youwhaaa.gif” alt=“o_0;;” title="You

Whaaa…" /> Poor Kari.

Original - Tin Toy. I watched it on Pixars’ site when they still showed them for free…sigh.

Movies-based - I dunno, I really like both Mikes’ New Car and Jack Jack Attack. And I can’t wait for Ghost Light! :smiley:

Jack-Jack Attack no doubt!

The use of Motzart alone wins that one for me =P but of course you also can’t resist the power of cuteness - Jack-Jack’s lesser known but deadliest power.

Originals though is a toughy. I think I’d go with One Man Band actually. I love the music nd the story (while still simple) is the most complex and realistic one yet while still using rediculous techniques like Deus ex Machina =)

Mine is still Jack-Jack Attack; I mean, Buddy Pine sans mask, that

hilarious “BS” quote, and Mozart music? You can’t find a better combo anywhere!

I was quite

fond of One Man Band, though. I really loved that humor in that one, and the way

those three characters interacted and communicated without a single word being said, as well as that

transformation from cute little waif to tough, no-nonsense businesswoman that little Tippy undergoes

there!

Everytime I see One Man Band, I love it even more.

The use of Mikey G for the score was brilliant. He’s one of the reasons I’m looking forward to Ratatouille.

I just ADORE Boundin’. The animation, as well as the moral of it all, it just…amazing. I mean, the water looks so real! And the characters are hilarious! But all of the Pixar shorts are amazing, either way.

I’d have to say

Geri’s Game is my favorite original. :sunglasses:. Makes you question the old mans sanity, which is good :wink:

My favorite was for the longest time was Geri’s Game. It was just brilliantly

done . . . and it was the first PIXAR short I ever saw! (Back when I saw [i]A Bug’s

Life[/i] in theatres. Sigh)

But this Geri was finally dethroned

by One Man Band. How that short did NOT get an Oscar is a mystery to me. It was brilliant, funny, and just down

right funny!

And Tippy, the little girl, is probably one of my favorite PIXAR characters EVER.

hate these questions. I mean they are all so great.

Such of a high standard. I put For the Birds, One Man

Band, Geri’s Game and Boundin’ at no 1. And the others at varioius other positions.

Boundin’ is a tied second to Geri for me. I’m not sure

where I placed For the Birds . . . I’ll have to check my list . . .

Without any doubt, Geri’s Game ! Very clever and

special, yet so funny :smiley: I just love it. But One Man Band, [i]For the

birds[/i], Knick Knack etc… are excellent too.

My Favorite is

Jack-Jack Attack. It is hilarious and it is in the world of The Incredibles.

I must confess, For The Birds

is a favourite of mine. It is so indicative of the social politics of a lot of societies- young people in

particular do this a lot, and even at a happy hippie school like mine I see it. And those twerpy little birds

get their come-uppance in a wonderful way.

All of them are priceless, of course. But [i]For

The Birds[/i] is definitely my favourite. :smiley:

I think everyone likes Jack Jack Attack

just for Incredibles. Live above the influence! Lol … whatever that meant …

I love ‘For the Birds’

too … specially at the end when they’re all ‘naked’. xD lol!

Well AFTB, maybe most of us like the short Jack-Jack Attack, not because it is the

Incredibles. That could probably be only one reason. The reason why i like Jack-Jack Attack is not only it is

from the Incredibles, but it is, in my opinion, the funniest short I have ever seen.
