I too like the Mcqueen and Sally. So peaceful. Also, I
like the racing pieces. It is so intense everytime I hear it.

The Star
Swordsman - Oh yes, the racing sequences/film tracks are great: they get your blood pumping. I
feel like jumping into a car and speeding off into the distance every time I hear it – I have this thing about
speed… Heh…
I feel like I am
actually in the Piston cup when I hear the music. That is how good the score is.
The Star
Swordsman - Wow – “in” the Piston Cup? Perhaps the soundtrack is better than I
thought… ![]()
Well, it did get nominated for Best Original Score and
Best Original Song.
And
it’s a good thing it did, too. I’m proud of Pixar – they’re always top in everything and they always strive
to achieve that title, in an enduring and fun way.
I really liked how, in the final
race, it got really intense durring the part of the track where the King crashes, then it got all still. That was
impacting.
From an Orchestral point of
view, my favourite bit of music is when Doc is racing around Willy’s Butte. Sadly, it isn’t on the soundtrack.
McQueen and Sally is a close second.
"Life is a
Highway". I liked the original song and I liked this remake. ![]()
The Star Swordsman - Oh,
most definitely. I absolutely love the time and pace of the soundtrack – it fits so perfectly with the scene.
RMS Oceanic - I am also extremely disappointed
that the score for “Doc’s Race” wasn’t included in the soundtrack. It is
such a beautifully crafted piece of work. I’d gladly pay extra to have that one track added to the
Cars soundtrack cd.
FONY where’d you hear it? Is it
good?
Who sang the original one
before it was remade by Rascal Flatts?
Tom Cochran sang it. I wouldn’t say it’s better-
the Rascal Flatts seemed to have more fun with it. I just liked the song long before
Cars.
